"Elsa! Elsa! Wake up! Wake up!" Anna shook her sister's shoulder. Elsa groaned and rolled over. She opened her eyes a fraction and smiled at her younger sister.
"Not again." she yawned, pushing herself up on her pillow.
"Please, please, please!" begged Anna. Elsa nodded and heaved herself out of bed. Anna grabbed her hand and the two girls ran giggling downstairs.
"Look Elsa! Snow!" beamed Anna. "I love snow, snowmen, snowball fights, ice skating..." Elsa grinned.
"And being freezing cold and wet constantly." Then she jumped up onto the sofa and very quietly began to sing:

Born of cold and winter air
And mountain rain combining
It holds danger so be aware
Don't succumb to it's perfect shining

So cut through the lies, cold and clear
Strike for love and strike for fear
Fight for all that you hold dear
Split the ice apart
And break the frozen heart

C'mon
Watch
How you go

C'mon
Watch
How you go

Deceptive!

Powerful!

Dangerous!

Cold!

Ice has a magic
Gets outta control
Gotta be strong, do not bend
Keep going 'til the end! Oh!

Born of cold and winter air
And mountain rain combining
It holds danger so be aware
Don't succumb to it's perfect shining

Cut through the lies, cold and clear
Strike for love and strike for fear
Beware the danger coming near
Split the ice apart
Beware the frozen heart...

Anna jumped to her feet and clapped for her sister enthusiastically. Elsa stepped off the sofa and tried to shush her, but in vain. Anna was now chanting, over and over "Songs! Songs! Songs!"
"No Anna! Shush!" Elsa grabbed at Anna, and as she did Anna slipped. Elsa screamed as Anna's head hit the table and she fell limp at Elsa's feet.

Elsa sat in the sterile waiting room, sobbing. Someone placed a hand on her shoulder and she looked up, expecting it to be one of her parents. Instead she was looking up at a doctor with short greying hair and a kindly expression. "Elsa?" he asked. Elsa nodded, trying to dry her eyes. The doctor sat down next to her. "My name is Dr Pabbie." he said "Your sister is not very well."
Elsa wailed and buried her face in her arms. "My fault... All my fault... My stupid singing!" she wailed. Dr Pabbie shook his head.
"No Elsa. You must not blame yourself. Anna will live. Live a long and happy life in all probability! And so must you." Elsa raised her head. "She's ok?" Dr Pabbie hesitated. "She is having trouble with her memory." he confessed. "Your parents are with her now." Elsa leapt to her feet and looked around wildly.
"When can I see her?"
Dr Pabbie shook his head. Your parents think it might be best to keep the two of you separated. At least for a little while." He stood and squeezed her shoulder. "I'm sorry." Elsa stared after him as he went down the corridor, then collapsed on the floor, sobs racking her body.
