authors note: I'm not blind. If this is offensive I'm sorry. Chapters will be short because I'm writing this on my phone.
Issac's POV
Augustus still is my best friend. I'll turn down biotic eyes in the future but today I'm going to visit him. Our friendship won't end because one of us is in the ground. Hazel was with me yesterday but today I think I can go by myself.
I'm still new to the blindness. I can feel around for my shoes to put on and tie them but it probably looks pitiful which is why I'm glad I can't see it. I turn down most of the help people try to give me but a ride to the grave doesn't sound too bad to myself anyways. Hazel did say if I needed anything to call her.
"Hazel, I need your help. Actually I need your car." I say into the phone after fumbling with the buttons.
" I'll be right over." Hazel replies.
I wipe my eyes on a discarded T-shirt that needs to be washed and feel my way to the living room. Now it's just Hazel and I, we try to help each other but it isn't the same. I want that feeling I had with that bitch but also want her to understand what's happening.
" Isaac, your friend Hazel is here." Mom says from behind the door.
The door knob clicks and Hazel sits on the bed.
"So I'll be your driver this evening. Where do you want to go?" She asks standing.
"His grave. It's a nice place to think and talk." I answer standing and feeling for the cane.
I strap it into my hand and try giving Hazel a smile.
" Good let's go." Hazel says guiding me to the front door and to her car.
