HOLE IN ONE

"It looks like it's a clean shot—through and through," murmured Sam as his fingers danced around the bloody wound in Dean's upper arm.

"Swell, that's a real comfort," gasped Dean.

"As bullet wounds go, it could be worse," Sam pulled the makeshift bandage tight and tied it off, ignoring his brother's cry of pain.

"Y-y-yeah, I know." Dean shuddered. "Doesn't make it hurt less though. Whadda we do 'bout Barney Fife over there?"

"Nothing."

"Nothing? But he shot me!"

"He got a look at Sanderlay's ghost. He knows, Dean. We'll have a talk with him. Let him go. Maybe he can be...an asset."

"An asset..." Dean grimaced as he tried to stand and staggered.

"Whoa, take it easy. You've lost some blood."

"Yeah, because HE shot me!"

Sam nodded. "That...and the ghost got you with his sword."

"He did?"

"Did you forget about your thigh? I already cleaned and bandaged it."

Dean glanced down at his thigh. "Oh. Yeah."

"And that's probably the slight concussion weighing in. Sanderlay threw you into the fireplace."

Dean leaned heavily into Sam. "We offed him, right?"

"Sanderlay? Yeah."

"Good."
