Through New Eyes
Rain battered heavily down upon Piltover's Enforcer, her entire form drenched. As calming as the rain was, it could not dispel her awful mood. As she walked through the poorly lit streets she fumed over past events:
Three Months Ago
"After four long years of working on the force, helping clean up Piltover for her; I finally get my one wish: the chance to have dinner with Caitlyn," thought the bruiser. An uncontrollable giddiness washed over Vi, quelling her doubts and fears. Tonight there was to be no business, only each other. Vi had spent hours cleaning her apartment, removing the massive amounts of machinery and random Hextech parts that littered everywhere. Taking a deep breath, she readied herself for her guest who was to be arriving soon. Ding. Her doorbell sounded, panicking Vi. "A little too soon," she thought too herself; anticipation rising in her chest. Weeks later, it was known throughout the force that the two were going steady.
Three months after these events, a psycho named Jinx appears and wreaks havoc in Piltover, while at the same time making a fool out of the Enforcer.
"I almost had the freak, Cupcake. Just let me have one more shot," pleaded the pink-haired bruiser. Piltover's sheriff crossed her arms, glowering at Vi.
"Because of your pride, she destroyed another building! And not just any building, she destroyed the treasury!" shouted Caitlyn. Vi flinched at the yelling, hoping that the walls were thicker than they looked. She hated when people teased her for getting on the boss's bad side.
"At least she didn't take anything," murmured the pinkette.
"Oh, she took something, alright, she took your job! As of now, you are here by suspended from further activity! And as of our relationship, we are through." Caitlyn shouted. Now it was Vi's turn to be pissed.
"The fuck do you mean we're through?! You know what, fuck you!" Vi shouted right back into the detectives face giving her the "finger". Caitlyn shut her mouth, deeming it wise not to antagonize the bruiser any further, though her face sill showed the obvious anger. Vi got up from where she was sitting and stored out of the apartment.
Present Time
Vi showed no signs of stopping as she wondered aimlessly through the narrow alleys that resided in between the large and close together skyscrapers. All she wanted was to be alone. Almost as if mesmerized, she continued on her way' paying no attention to anything. Lost in her thoughts, the Enforcer found herself at the base another skyscraper, this one still in construction. Looking around, she wondered where she was, however, the area was new to her. The dark of night added to the downpour made it impossible for her to judge any form of distance or direction. She was lost. Just as she was about to return to the alleyway that brought her there and try to retrace her steps, a familiar voice sound from above,
"Well, well, well. If it isn't big ol' Fat Hands. Never thought you'd find your way here."
