Light danced across the water as Draco stared longingly out towards the horizon, his blonde hair swayed slightly in the summer breeze. The sun set was his favourite time of the day, it was the only time he could escape the pressures of life, and the expectations of his family. This wasn't the most wonderful part of this time of day though, the most amazing part was he could see the one person that accepted him for who he was. The water made a slight noise as it moved with the breeze, and the odd bird sang to another. Peace and tranquility allowed Draco to lose himself in his own thoughts, but not for very long. Approaching, gentile footsteps could be made out, defensively Draco jumped up just in case it wasn't his anticipated visitor. As the figure moved forward, his posture began to relax. The scruffy ginger hair was the first thing that was obvious, flowed by the slim yet muscular fame of Ron Weasley. The only person who had got to know Draco. The only person he thought cared.
Slowly, the boys walked together without exchanging a word. Words weren't needed. Simply the look in each others they exchanged was enough. Ron moved in slowly, eyes closed, and Draco mirrored the action. The embrace flowed so naturally, and the remaining world didn't exist as far as they were concerned. As they parted, they held hands, Ron's left taking Draco's right, the sat down on the smooth pebbled ground. Draco rested his head on Ron's shoulder and let out a deep breath. Both boys knew it would never last, it couldn't last, but for now all they wanted was to be happy, and that's exactly what was happening with every second they spent together, with nobody else.
