Perspective.

No matter what form in comes in, perspective is among the most complicated points of view. In fact, it is a point of view, if you're standing at the right perspective.

Orochimaru, for one, loved this word. He would marvelously bend words, to his perspective, while fitting them to others perspectives. It was a world of lies and questions, and he loved it. He was the know all, say nothing, type of person.

He could fit others into his perspective at a mere glance. Determining their intentions, what level of authority they carried, the knowledge they possessed, and the fear they felt. He knew them all at a glance, seeing their perspectives flashing in their eyes. How dumb and insolent they were.

They didn't seem to know that the eyes were the windows to the soul, revealing all. Pupils enlarged at a liked thing, and shrunk at a hated one.

Hardly anyone could hold his gaze for more than a moment, for if they did, nightmares would haunt them for days, weeks maybe. The hellish scenes played inside those lurid spheres brought chills down even the strongest man's spine. None dared defy him.

Except Kabuto.

Many would tremble in fear, the speech turning into stutters when he entered a room.

But not Kabuto.

The strongest of ninjas would run with legs like lead, and bear their breathing like a raged, wild animal.

But not Kabuto.

None would dare look into his eyes directly, afraid that by doing so, they were challenging him and his authority.

But Kabuto would.

They would stay silent, doing everything to the book, as he said, fearing his unforgiving wrath. They NEVER spoke out of turn.

But Kabuto would.

His minions and enemies alike would never offer a rebellious smirk, a confident chuckle, or a question conflicting with their master's wishes.

But Kabuto would.

Orochimaru would never admit his ever-growing curiosity of his young protégé. Who spoke with a subtle boldness that was unhindered, even if his master's eyes caught his. He had not expected this, mistaking this perspective for the first, and the last time. He expected for this boy to show fear, like all the rest who have stood before him. He watched for a tremble, a shake, a twitch of the eye.

But Kabuto never did.

And with that, perspective had changed.

Disclaimer: Don;t care what u say, I don't own Naruto. But if I did, things would drastically change. (Like what happens to Oro and Itachi...)

Woot! Wrote all that in like twenty minutes. It's not long is it? For some reason my brain tells me it was. Stupid perspective...always messes me up.

Oro and I have been arguing lately. He absolutely hates the fact that I've pointed out his weakness, which, indeed, is not knowing Kabuto at all. (Even I don't know him.)

And I suspect I have gotten on Orochimaru's nerves.

(Save me!)

Ah well.... Peace out :)

Orochimaru is THE irreplaceable bad-guy! (Somebody please tell Masashi Kishimoto that...)
