Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters of rise of the guardians but I did think of young Bluey and therefore own him.

Bunnymund the Easter Daddy

Chapter: 1.

It was strangely quiet in the Easter Bunny's Warren.

Usually you would find the surly, tough Easter rabbit painting eggs or such as he would normally spend his free time preparing for Easter Sunday: his representing holiday. He was the Guardian of hope, a tough guy whom tried to hide the fact that he cared for many things.

He was, in some aspects, a loner: someone who needn't bother asking questions when it came to a fight and someone who would zip by someone and catch his foes off guard. He would even give them a boomerang in the face if it ever came to something so violent.

However, if you had gone a little deeper into a hidden forest of Easter nestled far yonder the caverns where the eggs would exit and make their grand entrance, then you would have to see a large burrow that would be known as Bunhymund 's house.

The burrow within was a small neat place with a window on each side and a dirt floor but it was decorated with some leaves and at the walls were decorated with egg-shaped furnishings and there was a door mat by the burrow.

Deep inside tough, it was a wonderful sight. There was a comfy sofa with bouncy seats that were coloured in a fern green in the middle of the room and in a corner stood a fine handmade crib where a tiny blue bundle of fur had lay there in waiting, tiny floppy ears erected and huge eyes gazing around in curiosity.

The shadow of a figure was hopping on all fours towards the crib, slowly crawling on his belly towards it, which was made of the finest oak painted in a sky blue and after grabbing the hollow bars of the corner of the crib, the "fearless warrior" taking the form of a fluffy blue, seven foot tall creature shoving his face inside revealing himself in the dim light with a cheerful expression on his muzzle.

The figure was Bunnymund. A rabbit with dark blue fur with darker blue spring markings.

"Hello!" Exclaimed Bunnymund to the tiny rabbit inside with a smile on his muzzle.

The little bundle of lighter blue fur to which Bunny had stared into brown eyes that were much larger than his own emerald ones.

Inside the crib laid a little bunny with big brown, caramel eyes. His fur was a touch lighter then his father's with the scruffs of cyan coloured fur on the side of his tiny muzzle were non-pointed but instead they were totally ruffled. He had spring markings on his shoulders and a small diamond-shaped patch on his forehead and he had two spikes of fluff atop his pointy ears unlike his father whom had quite a few fluff peices on top of his ears.

The baby bunny giggled in reply before reaching up for his father and Bunnymund happily picked up the cooing bunny in his strong, sturdy arms before wrapping him up in the dark purple blanket he was laying on.

Seriously, this was the Guardian of Hope? You wouldn't really believe it since he was acting so kind-hearted and sort of like a big softie despite his tougher demeanour.

"Keep still ya Lil' ankle biter." said Bunnymund with a chuckle as he proceeded towards the counter before he settled the tiny humanoid rabbit down in the crook of his arms before grabbing a bottle of chocolate milk from the counter's hard surface and gently shoved it into his son's mouth.

The little thing put his tiny paws to the bottle before sucking in eager desperation and this made Bunnymund laugh a little more.

The rabbit Bunnymund cradled had been born not too long ago and had brought quite a bit of joy into his life. But he knew that with every new life, there was a loss to come with it. Life had taught him this but he decided not to dawdle on it.

But as his son was drinking, Bunnymund was thinking. He had kept his son a secret from the other guardians since the laws said that Gaurdians can't have children but Bunnymund didn't have a choice.

A year ago, he had fallen in love with the last of his kind other then himself. A female Pooka. She was named Bethany and Bunnymund truly loved Bethany but just after there son was born, a tragedy happened. The Boogyman had attacked Bethany and stabbed her in the chest but on her dying breath, she had asked Bunnymund to look after their child.

Bunnymund promised and ever since then he had kept his word.

Bunnymund was snapped out of his track of thoughts when he heard his son whimpering and sucking his paw.

The older rabbit chuckled again before placing the baby bunny on his shoulder and patting his back and soon, the child did burp but a little drool came out but Bunnymund carefully wiped it away with a finger.

Bunnymund had always done this in his spare time and while he was busy he got the eggs to babysit. But he just spent time with Bluey in breaks but he wasn't going to let his son out yet because if the other guardians had come to visit, the child would be discovered and probably exiled to Earth and leave the baby without a family.

The Easter Bunny couldn't let that happen especially after his son had lost his mother.

Bunnymund walked over to the couch before placing his son down by his fours and left the little guy to wander around and explore his surroundings, his teeny-weeny nose twitching in anticipation.

The child cooed of course and crawled towards the sofa and tried to climb up but when he did he fell off and landed on his stomach.

The little bunnie's eyes filled with tears and he broke into a few solid whimpers but Bunnymund saw this and tried to soothe his little son "No, no, no, no..."

Bunnymund took his crying boy into his arms before hushing him and he placed him down on his lap before he smiled gently and bounced his son in his arms to calm him.

"There, there..." Bunnymund comforted the young bunny who had looked up at his father and then Bunnymund sighed while reeling the youngling to his broad, fluffy chest "I'm here."

The young humanoid bunny rabbit quickly wiped his eyes to dry the tears and giggled while covering his mouth as he did.

Suddenly the young blue rabbit, rubbed his eyes before giving a yawn and Bunnymund adjusted his hold on the young bunny and said as he kissed him on the forehead as the thing closed his huge, saucer-like eyes and laid down to sleep "Good night, Bluey. Sleep well."

After placing Bluey back in the crib, Bunnymund walked out the burrow and turned off the lights of to let his son rest before he ordered one of the eggs to babysit Bluey and with that, the Easter Bunny gracefully bounded out of the burrow to go out into the warren and continue his work and prepare for Easter but he was still worried what the other Guardians would say when they found out about his son.

Bluey was his son, after all.

A/N: Hey guys! I know Rise of the guardians isn't out yet but I already have a favourite character and judging by the chapter I am guessing you know who it is!

I had an odd feeling that Bunnymund has some deep dark secret because in most of the trailers I have noticed that when he was hiding from the girl that was grabbing the eggs he had placed, he looked like he was going to cry.

I also thought that maybe Bunnymund should have a family because he's so loveable!

Please leave nice reviews and I shall update soon.
