Author's Note: Hey you guys! Its been really long since I wrote a fanfiction. I kinda gave up on after finding vile and putrid stories on Soul Eater and that kinda made me lose my appetite for nice stories. This is a Prologue and if you enjoyed it, please review. I am not sure if it is good enough but i hope that many of you enjoy it. Rated M for language and profanity.

*Vegas is getting shunned. ShadowhunterKaliGurl and I will try to find time to write Ch. 9 (i think) and post it ASAP.

I am turning on the Anonymous Review, so feel free to comment!

I wish to go back. My heart is not here any more, but on the other side of the river, waiting for me to return. Rin, Kamaji, and Haku had waved good bye, but even though I was only ten, my heart yearned to work at the bathhouse.

"Hey, Chihiro! Come and eat lunch with us!" a voice interrupted my thoughts. I turned around to see that a hand was waving to me.

"Sure, be there in a second!", I shouted back. I sighed, there was no way to go back, was there? I should have looked back seven years ago, even though Haku said not to.

I grabbed my bag and started to walk towards my group of friends who were already eating.

"Kamaji, I think that there is something I need to tell you." I stood behind the boiler man, waiting impatiently. "You remember Chihiro, right?"

The boiler man scratched his bald head and thought for a moment. "Nope, I don't recall someone who went by Chihiro."
I growled in frustration. "Sen! Do you remember the name Sen?" I asked, not lightening up on my tone of voice. There was no way that Kamaji couldn't remember Chihiro, or Sen.

"Ahh! Yes, I remember. The ten year old human that begged me for work!" Kamaji clapped all six of his hands together. "Why do you bring her up?" I took a deep breath.

"I heard her praying to me last night. Her voice woke me up, but for some reason, she sounded sad and heartbroken. Help me Kamaji, I need to get to the human world and find Chihiro." I was desperate. One year ago, Chihiro left and I was alone again, left to work at the bathhouse. I went to Yubaba and tore up my own contract and had found employment at the lighthouse as an engineer, but that didn't bother me. I know that the difference between the Ningen world and the Seishin world is grand. One year here is seven years there but I wanted, no, I needed to see Chihiro one last time, to keep my promise.

"I have no idea what you could use to get there, but did you try just walking past the river and going through the gateway?" Kamaji looked at me, cocking an eyebrow.

I opened my mouth but words seemed to stay down in my throat. I hadn't thought of that yet. I was too anxious and worried to think straight.
"Thanks Kamaji." I bowed and quickly ran upstairs and went to the Male's locker room. I would need to be neat and clean if I am to meet Chihiro tomorrow.

REVIEW! thanks!
