A/N: Just a little short thing I thought of randomly. Expect nothing for a few months as I navigate 1.8.2 on Xbox and try to figure out how to reliably sprint. Mentions Gaige/Maya because lesbians, don't question it.
I move into the cave slowly.
I saw the cave, and it wasn't on the ECHO map thing, so I decided to investigate. Usually, that kind of place has lots of loot.
So now I'm slowly approaching, and I see some sort of weird cube blocks, standing in a wall. They look like dirt. I push on it gently, and it seems solid, so I give it an experimental smack with my hammer. Little cracks appear.
I hit it again, and the cube disappears.
What the hell.
But at least I know how these work, now. I keep smacking cubes until I'm through the dirt wall.
I move forward slowly, keeping my submachine gun out, and I find…
Another wall.
With a sigh, I get out my hammer. These ones are grey, and I have no clue what they are, but they're tougher than the brown blocks, and they take more hits before they disappear. The ones with black in them drop ammo and, I'm delighted to find out, the block with gold in it drops money!
When I get through these, some weird green block thing starts moving to me. I'm not exactly sure what it is… and then it blows up as soon as it gets near me. "What the hell?" I scream as my shields disintegrate, and the simplified health monitor on my HUD thing goes down to three. Another one appears, and I shoot it until it blows up while my shields regenerate.
There are a few more, and then a big one, which takes more bullets, but dies like the rest.
Then I take a moment to breathe before I examine the place.
There are a few ammo and cash blocks that I break, and a few purple ones that give me eridium, for some reason. I'm not even surprised at this point.
I just hurry and get all the loot I can, including a sweet-looking shotgun, and then I get the hell out of there.
When I get back to the others, I tell them about it. Maya just laughs her sweet laugh. "You found the Creeper Cave, then?"
"The… Creeper Cave?"
Axton nods. "If you're not careful, those mute bastards sneak up on you and blow up. So we call them Creepers."
"They have no real heads, / I cannot get headshots there. / I do not like it."
"But…" I frown. "The blocks…"
Maya pats my hand. "We don't question good loot, honey. Come on, let's get you cleaned up."
I follow without question. With Maya, getting cleaned up involves getting dirty first, and she's hot.
