Disclaimer: I do not own HOA
What am I doing here? I'm not the kind of girl to be barging in on a white veil occasion, but I can't let Fabian marry Joy. He deserves better than her; she's the wrong girl for him.
I sneak in through the back door of the church and see Joy's mother dressed in a ridiculous green pastel dress. Her fatherbus scolding Fabiangoer staring aa amber, even though everyone knows he doesn't like her in that way, besides she's with Alfie. Poor Fabes.
Patricia, Mara, and Amber are being screamed at by the oh so lovely bride to be who, surprise surprise, uninvited me. Joy's dress looks like a freakin cupcake. A cupcake! At least it's better than that waayyy too skimpy red dress she wore to their engagement party. The one Ambs told me all about.
Their wedding was huge. I know it's nothing like what Fabian wanted. I remember us talking about our future about a month before I broke up with him because of something Joy told me. Stupid, stupid, stupid!
Flashback
"So, when you get married what do you want it to be like?" I asked him late one night, in the attic.
"I just want it to be small. With only close relatives, friends and of course the Sibuna gang out in the woods with guitar playing in the background," Fabian replied.
"You've really thought this through. So who do you want the bride to be?" I questioned jokingly.
"You, silly!" he said and I laughed
End of Flashback
"I'm going to do it," I thought. I have to. When the Preist says speak now I'm going to stand up and tell Fabian he's marrying the wrong girl.
The organ starts to play a song hauntingly similar to the one at my Gran's funeral. How appropiate.
Joy struts down the aisle like a model on a runway. It's clear that this is all for show. Fabian looks uncertain and the bridesmaids and groomsmen, Patricia, Amber, Mara, Joy's sister, Eddie, Alphie, Jerome, and Mick all look depressed. Amber's face is streaked with tears. What could Joy of done to make her cry?
I know he wishes it were. Me up there with him on that alter instead of Joy. Right? I know I could make him so much happier.
I here the preacher say, "Speak now or forever hold your peace.".
Joy looks around the room smugly. Obviously thinking no one would dare object to her wedding. Fabian scans the rows of people searching for someone. Is it me?
This is my only chance. I stand up with shaking hands, all eyes are on me.
I get horrified looks from guests and here a few people gasp. Amber squeals, Fabina! Mara and Patricia look relieved, Jerome smirks, Alphie gives me a thumbs up, Eddie laughs and Mick tells Fabian, "I told you so."
Even Joy's own sister gives me a small smile.
"I am not the kind of girl who should be rudely barging in on awhite veil occasion, but you are not the kind of boy who should be marrying the wrong girl. I don't expect you to take me back after what I did, but I do love you Fabian Rutter. So don't say yes, run away now. I'll meet you when you're out of your tux at the back door, don't wait or say a single vow you needed to hear me out when they said speak now."
Fabian smiled and walked towards me followed by Sibuna causing more gasps to erruupt from the audience. I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the church. When we got out side Amber yelled, "Fabina Forever!" and we all laughed.
Six Years Later.
I was sitting on the couch rocking our new daughter, Sarah Destiny-Hope Rutter, when Fabian sat down beside me and said, " Nina, I'm so glad you were around when the preacher said speak now."
The end! Thanks for reading, hope you liked it! As always, please review!
