"Sakura!" a dark voice echoed her room. The girl woke up scratched her eyes
to see a tall figure standing before her, "Sakura, a pretty name you've got
there. It belongs to me now!" Bloodshed, tears and misery followed. The man
dragged the girl out, just another day at the beach for her, because she
grew up in Mejii era.

(From now on, this is taken from Sakura's POV)
I felt the pain then fell it toke over me. I sank to my knees screaming, pleading for this to end. Then it did, I fell. It was like I was dead. The man just smiled and pulled out my wooden pole from my clutched fists. It crashed against my head, my own weapon, pride and joy, betraying me! Then it came, the darkness. And I "was out of commission" as my father use to say. "Bring in the reinforcements."
My body ached the next minute I got up. My spine ached, my arms ached even my hair ached!
I sighed silently, hoping the feral buffoon won't wake. I gazed angrily at his sleeping body and almost felt a slight temptation to kick him once or twice but then, there was the thought, "he's going to kill me." So I resisted for a short time.
"Sakura."
I turned, another stranger in white approached. No weapon in hand, just massive fists the size of small bowl. I didn't answer so he tried again:
"Sakura, your father told us to come for you." The mire mention of my father drives me mad. I slammed my fists are against the ground, nearly waking the buffoon beside me.
"What does HE care of my safety? You're probably just one of his STUPID soldiers that wants me back to HIM! CAN'T I EVER HAVE ANY PEACE WITHOUT-"
"Without what? Men to come and save you?" his peach hands grabbed my neck collar. "come on."

He led me out of the dump. We hadn't spoken with each other since that incident. He was content to stare at me once or twice, like to see if I was all right or something.
He led me into a lit judo. It was there that I got a look of his features: the man was tall, at least twice my height; his black hair was messy, the only thing keeping a little bit tidy was the red ribbon tied across his forehead. The white jacket I had seen before covered more then half of his lengthy body, making it almost impossible to see his pants.
"I'll get Kenshin, stay here." The other people who had watched me being dragged in were now staring at me. I was tempted to go punch one to get them to stop staring . . .I truly hate it when people stare. Finally the tall guy came back with another shorter one with long red hair . . .on his belt was a sword. Could it be? The Reverse bladed sword?
"I told you that I could handle this by myself. Here she is Kenshin." The guy in white was beaming; I guess he can't really handle much on his own. "Sorry," his face met mine, "I really haven't introduced misled Sakura: I'm Sanosuke Sagura and this is . . ."
"Kenshin Himora."
"How did you guess?" he stared at me with his topaz eyes, "I thought you wouldn't know."
I snapped at him, "I'm not clueless you know." I was expecting something like a thrashing for my words from such a big guy as he was but, all I saw was a smile.
"You know Sakura," he turned around and left the room, "you'd be a neat person, if you would put your mind to it." I glared at him, turned the opposite direction and snorted.
That was the beginning of what I understood was love . . .
