A/N on january 9, 2000, date of repost: For some reason, my fics were all deleted from fanfiction.net, and thus I re-uploaded them, changed my name, e-mail, password, etc. Thank you to the many people who have already and reviewed this: all of them have my deepest gratitude.

Christmas Time
Author's Note: So I was reading some of the lovely, happy Christmas Carols on fanfiction.net, that one by Moony Girl being the last, actually, because I began thinking. During Harry's fifth year, or the ones after, it won't be merry, because Voldemort has returned, and they all know it. The teachers, the students, and surely the parents of the students. So, I wrote this to a Christmas Carol on my Napster, Christmas Time, the Charlie Brown one, only sung by The Stone Temple Pilots. I don't know where it came from, why it's so depressing, or why I'm using Times New Roman font when I almost always use Arial. Some things just can't be explained, so please, don't flame, although I'd be lying if I said I didn't want any reviews. Despite the seriousness of this, I wish you all very merry celebrations, and happy reading, of course. I should be having more lengthy material out shortly.
Where's the happiness and cheer?
Fear of all,
The Dark Lord calls,
The death tolls rise with tears.
Devastation everywhere,
Golden times and ancient rhymes,
Of love and dreams are where?
Go and hide under there...
Who was that by,
The fire side?
Does Fudge even care?
Memories all too clear,
All that we,
Could ever see,
Was evil oh so near.
Go against him, we didn't dare...
We'd been lost,
We paid the cost,
Now watch how we fare.
We've all had turns to cry,
They don't see,
Now we're on the street,
And muggles pass us by.
