The boy with sad eyes.
The little Macedonian prince was so sore that he couldn't even lift his still thin arms. His Spartan tutor had been stricter than usual and he could not know why. There had been only one moment of distraction during his morning training. Alexander had gained a very strong hit with the cane on his back but the little boy of six summers thought it had been worth the punishment.
A boy with eyes like the Aegean Sea had looked at him with love, bringing a ray of happiness to his life.
His Hephaestion was back to stay with him forever.
The youth with dreamy eyes.
Hephaestion appeared in the dining room and Alexander's heart started to beat widely inside his chest. Today was the day; he could no longer postpone his decision. He had been dreaming too long about it and his Hephaestion also deserved this proposal.
Alexander took Hephaestion to a secluded part of the dining room, behind the curtains, and taking the brunette's hands in his, asked Hephaestion for a bonding ceremony.
Dreamy eyes looked at cerulean ones that were brighter than usual due to the love and happiness reflected on them.
Hephaestion had accepted making Alexander's dearest dream come true once again.
The man with dead eyes.
Alexander's eyes were two dark pools of pain and despair. His partner, his soul mate, his everything had left him alone to follow Hades down to the house of death.
Alexander could not understand how his lively Hephaestion was now resting so quietly in his arms; how his lips were no longer warm, plaint and kissing his back; how his blue eyes were not looking back at him …
Alexander's eyes were no longer sad or dreamy, they were simply dead and no one could do anything to change that because no one was his Hephaestion, the only man who had taught him how to speak through his eyes ...
