A/N: This one-shot is a thought I came up with during my Creative Writing class. We were learning about oxymora and this story just came to me. I know I should be continuing with my other stories, but I hope you'll like this anyway.

Disclaimer: I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho, but I do own this shirt! cuddles the shirt with chibi Hiei on it YAY!

Oxymoron: a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in "cruel kindness" or "to make haste slowly."
"You want him, don't you?"

Kurama looked up in surprise, his green gaze falling upon the dark figure lying on the window seat of his room. Hiei was turned towards the glass before him, but he didn't watch the ranging storm, instead he stared at the redhead's reflection. Kurama set down his pencil and curiously swirled in his desk chair to face the youkai.

"Whom are you referring to, Hiei?" The fire demon grunted and turned away from the window to properly address his partner with growl.

"You know who I'm talking about; the detective!" Kurama blinked in surprise, not use to Hiei becoming angry with him.

"And what do mean by 'you want him'?" Hiei snorted, rolling his eyes he smirked at the seemingly human boy.

"Don't act so naïve, Fox. You desire the detective, do you not?" Hiei leaned his head against the cool glass and stared dejectedly out at the pouring ran. Kurama stared openly, never seeing the fire demon look so defeated.

"Why do you believe I…like Yusuke?"

"Because of that stupid school crap of yours…" Hiei whispered.

After a moment of thought, Kurama nodded in understanding, a few nights prior he had been in the middle of a creative writing assignment for school when Hiei had visited.

"That's when I had to come up with some oxymoron descriptions for people or things important to me. And if I'm not mistaken, Yusuke's was-"

"Delinquent Hero."

Kurama smiled slightly, if it had been anyone else, they would have missed the expertly hidden hint of jealousy in the hybrid's tone. Kurama flipped some hair out of his face and stood up, his sock covered feet made little noise as he padded over to the smaller male.

"Did I ever tell you my oxymoron for you?" Hiei stiffened slightly as arms engulfed him and pulled him back against a firm and warm chest.

"I'm just a mistake…" Hiei sighed out as he sagged sadly into Kurama's hug. The kitsune just shook his head and lean down to bury his face into his friend's spied hair.

"If so, then you're a beautiful mistake," Kurama smiled as Hiei's reflection in the window blushed, "My beautiful mistake."
