The first Post! The post that hurts the most! Here is my first wee little tiny fic. Please let me know what you think and enjoy!
The everyday rush at The Roadhouse slowed as summer faded away and school started again. Tending bar and clearing tables for the lunch crowd was a complete bore. Jo would much rather have the night shifts that Dean seemed to monopolize. But she didn't mind, not really. Because a few hicks were seated together in the back end whispering about their next hunt and Cas was waiting on them. She didn't know if it was out of boredom or girlish crush but Jo could never take her eyes off of him. He had to be at least six feet with a muscular frame that filled the window. His dark hair perfectly mussed with little tendrils playing shadows on his face. One hung over his left eye and Jo's hand twitched with the want to brush it back. He had such beautiful eyes, if that word could be used to describe someone so masculine. They were the clearest blue she had ever seen. As sunlight from the window danced on his face they almost seemed to glow.
The door from the kitchen swung open behind her and the daydream was over. Because Cas looked her way and an emotion hit his eyes that stopped her breath, but it was not for her. Without even turning around she knew who had walked through the door. She sighed and pulled the few tips out of the pocket of the apron around her hips before untying the sting. "Have fun Dean, looks to be a slow night." She said throwing the apron over his head to pause the soulful glances. "For your sake, I hope you two get slammed. Whatever rush comes in will be less of a mess for me to clean up tomorrow than what will inevitably happen when the two of you are finally left alone." She strutted through the kitchen and into the sunlight smiling to herself as she imagined the confused head tilt Cas would aim Dean's way when he saw the shade of red Jo had left him in.
