Bella had more then enough experience with falling.
She fell everyday.
( even the best fall down sometimes )
Tripping over her own feet and landing hard on her back, it was something that grew to be inevitable to her.
But she looks back over her time in this town, the people the places.
And Bella Swan can't deny to never falling quite as hard as she did for Edward Cullen.
At one time you could ask him and he'd agree. His love for her was unconditional, irrevocable.
But that slowly faded as time stretched on. And Bella was left in the woods all alone.
( he didnt catch her when she fell )
She doesn't like to revisit old memories, it's not because she doesn't like to remember his perfect face. It's because she knows she can't touch it, she knows it not really there. And it won't ever be there again.
That is what wakes Bella up, screaming at night.
She faces the emptiness everyday, the hole that takes up most her body, makes her heart contract in pain.
( ouch )
Sometimes she drives in her truck, not knowing or caring for her destination. She turns on the radio and listens as a song starts playing. She never realized before now that behind every word in ever chorus is a story about a boy and a girl.
Bella changes the channel. She doesn't want to hear it, though the gushy love songs now echo in her head.
( I love you )
She changes the channel but the feeling doesn't go away. She stops the truck, and before she knows what she's doing her fingers are torn and bleeding, the sobs escape her chest and her now ruined radio dangles from the dashboard.
( Don't leave me )
Bella snaps all her CDs in half and shoves her CD player to the back of her closet.
She won't ever listen to music again if all she ever hears is sappy romance songs and echoes of what used to be.
She can't ever say that she regrets falling in love with him, she could never do that.
( she's still head over heals for that boy )
But Edward Cullen was like a stitch on her world. He was the one thing she could count on, the one thing that held her together in the worst of times.
Well Bella knows that not all stitches last, and the more you fall the more you grow immune to the pain.
So here she is, jumping off of a cliff, falling in mid air.
Because Bella Swan now knows, Its not about how high you jump,
Its how hard you fall.
