"This can all be over, if you just tell me what I want to know" Lana Beniko said, pacing in front of the Jedi seated before her. She never liked "enhanced interrogation". It was unreliable, and people usually just lie. Not to mention it was a chore. She always preferred letting others do the hands-on work for her, while she directed things. That was her job, after all. Imperial Intelligence Director. But, in this case, she was willing to make an exception.

"Still giving me the silent treatment, hmm?" she mused to the other occupant of the room. "I only want to hear one thing. One little phrase, and I'll let you go".

They had already been at this for almost an hour. The young Jedi looked ragged, her arms turning purple from the tight metal manacles on her wrists and elbows, which were draped over the high back of the chair, bending the jedi forward in the chair. Looked uncomfortable, the Sith thought to herself.

Silence. Just like the last half-hour.

"Hmm, alright then. Have it your way" she said, extending her fingers into the air in front of her. A slight crackle of electricity building up, followed by bright purple electricity coursing through the air towards her conversation partner. The young Jedi writhed in her chair, but was still silent. The smell of ozone and a bit a smoke from the Jedi's torn tunic filled the air. Well, the Sith thought to herself, at least I get some practice.

For the next 10 minutes, this pattern repeated itself. A question, met with silence, then the crackle of electricity. Neither woman was budging, and neither was showing signs of relenting.

The Jedi's head hung low, staring at the floor. Lana stepped forward, and clasped the young woman's chin with her fingers, and made her look up at her. "I'm growing impatient. It's just a simple question. I'll ask it one last time, this is your last chance." Her eyes were intense, staring intently into the other woman's eyes.

"Where do you want to eat for our anniversary dinner?"

Finally, the young Jedi spoke for the first time, "I told you," she coughed, her mouth dry and her words caught in her throat, "I don't really mind anywhere. You can decide".

Lana's brow furrowed. "If that was a satisfactory answer, we could have skipped all of this in the first place, darling".

"Fine", her wife answered, "I read in yesterday's holonet news that that new place on Satele Shan avenue is supposed to be good, the Devaronian place. They're supposed to have really good Nerf steaks".

"Great!" Lana exclaimed, "See? That wasn't so hard". She smiled as she unlocked the metal clasps from the Jedi's arms. The young woman leaned back and sighed in relief, rubbing her arms to get the feeling back.

"I'm actually really looking forward to this!" Lana said, heading for the door. "I'll go get ready!"

The Jedi smiled to herself. She was looking forward to this evening as well.
