"Hey Zero, jump in, the water is great," said Yuuki who was already wet.

Zero was sitting on the edge of the dock, dangling his legs over the side, so his feet got wet. "No," he said the simple word.

"Why not?" asked Yuuki her teeth clattering.

Zero began to laugh, his easy calm laugh, which only Yuuki could bring out of him. "Because I'm not crazy, that's why. Look at you, you're freezing." Yuuki splashed him once, which only made him laugh more.

"W-why are y-you l-l-laughing at me?" asked Yuuki with a pout. "T-this i-isn't funny. It's f-freezing in h-here."

"Really?" Zero raised his eyebrow. "I couldn't tell. Well come over and get dried off," he said holding out his hand, for her to take hold of it. He grabbed the towel and helped her out of the water.

"I-I'll get you y-yet," she said, narrowing her eyes.

"Yeah, but maybe next time you should wait for the water to get hot first," he said laughing. Yuuki turned to hit him but he grabbed her wrist. "Hmm I wonder..." he said still holding her wrist firmly in his hand. He let go and stepped back. Yuuki looked up at him curiously.

Zero jumped into the water. "Just as I suspected," he said coming up for air. "It's warm Yuuki," he grinned and splashed her. Yuuki jumped back from the edge of the dock. When she looked back Zero was not at the surface anymore.

"Zero! Zero!" she shouted into the water, but there was no sight of him. "Zero! No I killed him…" she fell to her knees, her head in her hands. No, he's not dead yet, he can't be. Yuuki looked over the edge of the dock. She couldn't see anything at first, but after a moment the water on the rippled as though something moved under the surface.

Water hit Yuuki in the face, something that surprised her so much that she jumped back. Zero pulled himself up onto the dock. Catching his breath, he grinned at Yuuki. "Worried?" he asked.

"Hey, that's not fair," she threw her head back. "You can't do that," she narrowed her eyes.

"Can't do what? Make you worried?" he asked. "I already told you that you don't have to worry about me." Zero looked Yuuki in the eyes. He put his hand on her cheek and wiped away the tear. Then he leaned down and softly kissed her. When they broke apart, little water droplets landed on their heads. Zero looked up at the sky, "well, there goes our picnic."

Yuuki smiled. "Well there's always tomorrow," she pointed out. "Let's go home."

Yuuki leaned against Zero as they walked home in the rain.
