Completely hopeless is how I would describe him. All he does is play games, watch these cartoons he calls "anime", and goes to a 'meeting' with other people to play something called "dungeon and dragons". He barely studies and is always chatting with a friend either directly or with a phone call.

The most frustrating part is he's happy. He doesn't work, he always talks, and he isn't too smart and yet he knows more happiness then I do. It sickens me that I worked so hard to get the best grades in my class and yet that leaves me unsatisfied and yet he barely passes and he's overjoyed. He leaves his room a mess and always knows where what is and yet i register it and i have to find it based on where i organized. The best way to describe us are are complete opposites.

The worst part of the day is when he asks me to play a game, watch an 'anime', or join his group. He would always come and try to convince me with something different each day. I wasn't a fan of this tomfoolery which he did each day. Of course each day I allowed him inside my room out of simple courtesy but each time I he always knocked on my door to watch, play or join. I suppose it irritated me that he couldn't accept a simple 'no' as a answer that he kept pestering me even when shot him down so many times.

"Edbored." I couldn't help but wince at his 'nickname' of me. he claimed he would only start calling me Edward when I started to have fun. "I think I found the perfect game for you. It's called Pokemon..." I simply nodded and pretended to listen as he went on and on about it. I honestly could not focus as he rambled on about numbers, strategy, and puzzles.

"So, what do you think? I figured since the majority of the time you do math you would love this game since it involves numbers."

"It doesn't sound like my cup of tea." His face nearly deflated after hearing my words. Seconds later his eyes changed from defeat to a look of perseverance which terrified me. That face told me that he would continue to try to convince me to do something no matter what. I reconsidered and told him "But you have tried really hard to get make me play games... and i suppose it doesn't hurt to try new things.

A smile had appeared faster then I could blink as he pumped his hand in the air. "You, won't regret this Edward! Trust me you'll love this game." He handed me the gaming device along with a square cartridge and a charging cable. "Oh, and uh don't worry about starting a new file, I already transferred my favorites."

I couldn't help but let out a sigh as he left my room. I went to my schedule and changed around and shorten my lunch and dinner along with my studying to make room for Thirty minutes of gaming in case ny roommate decides to ask questions.

I spent nearly twenty hours and two cups of coffee but at last I managed to hatch a perfect IV Gible with a jolly nature along with EV training it's attack, speed and defense.

I couldn't help but jump up and down, as childish as i seemed I felt so happy. I went to charge it and jumped onto my bed.

My schedule has been messed up and I have become addicted to a handheld.

For being a game meant to played by kids it is surprisingly complex. I'm not sure how my roommate juggles games, college and work. I rely mainly on the scholarships and my dad's money he saved for me so I had plenty of time to study but he apparently works which means he can't pull an all nighter as easily as I could.

As I was dozing off, a light so bright shone upon my closed eyes followed by a loud noise. I went outside to check to see, instead of seeing a large fire, or a bomb, or a sign of lightning. Nope, I see a rodent before me. Not any ordinary rodent mind you, it looks like a really long ferret with a squashed/rounded face. I saw other lights turning on from other dorms with so i grabbed the unconscious creature and ran back straight to my dorm.

My heart feels like its about to jump out when I laid it on my bed. It looked exactly like a Furret, no it IS a Furret. I also notice literal blood on my hands along with blood on the Furret. I mutter a curse as I go through my dresser and start tying my clothes around where source of blood appears to be coming from. I'm honestly a bit to delirious to question anything at this point. So the first thing I do is sleep off everything and hope that it isn't a dream.
