Terra cried out in fear when she felt her body stiffening. Usually, she contolled rocks. Now, she was becoming one herself. "Help!" she cried, not quite sure if she wanted to save the city anymore. However, it was too late. Her body turned to stone and silenced the young hero.

The first thing the girl noticed was her breath. It felt shaky, as though she hadn't used it in a while. Her limbs loosened, allowing her to move of the huge stone pedastal. She looked around, wondering where she was. Her outfit was ratty; Only a few pieces of ripped cloth that made her look like a mummy. On her chest, she could see stains that looked like melted steel.
She didn't know how she forget her name, though. She just did. "Hello?" she called, her voice echoing off of the cave walls. As if in response, a bright light glowed from the other end of the cave. She held out her arm in shock and looked away, only to look up again at the sound of falling rocks. The rocks had uncovered more of the cave; and a way out. She turned to the pedastal and saw a boquet of roses.
Picking them up, she sniffed them. Although they smelled a bit dusty, that couldn't hide the sweetness underneath. A plaque was on the pedastal to. It read:
TERRA
A TEEN TITAN
A TRUE FRIEND
The girl blinked in suprise. She knew that name, Terra, was her own name. She just didn't know who these Teen titans were. Without a second thought, she walked out of the cave. Bright sunlight almost blinded her, and she looked into a pool of water. A blond haired blue-eyed girl with an ashen face stared back at her. "Are you okay?" A voice asked.
Terra spun around to face a man with brown hair. "Who are you?" She whimpered.
"I'm Kevin Markov," He answered. "Who are you?" Terra froze to think about what to say.
"Terra," she finally answered. "I don't have a last name, or a home." Her eyes brightened. "Would you take me home?" she pleaded.
Kevin looked uncertain. "We'll see. I mean, I'd need legal documents to adopt you."
Terra followed Kevin home, hoping this would be the start of her normal life.
