I'll admit it. I will and want to be a Death Eater. I'm not a fanatic, I'm not a hater, and I certainly do not "love" the Dark Lord.
But, ever since I can remember, my parents, mainly my father, has told me stories. As a Death Eater himself, he shared the memories and experiences he has had. As a child, they were my fairytales. Others may say that it's sick, creepy, and even horrific. But to me, they were the stories I used to fantasize myself in. In a different life, I didn't have anything else, but I think I prefer it that way.
I'll also admit my father had a way of telling stories that was hypnotic. He made them so much more, interesting for a lack of a better word. It was like you were experiencing it first-hand, right at that moment, and he was the narrator in the background. He made life as a Death Eater like some sort of fantasy life, one that most (normal) children imagined themselves into as princesses or princes.
I'll even admit that the Dark Lord is on the slightly "completely insane" side. Although, really, you'd have to be in order to be a dark lord. I don't exactly worship the guy, and I would never, ever kiss his feet; the thought makes my stomach churn and throat tighten. There's just something about him that makes you want to listen, to obey, to die for. He's powerful, and he commands it like a Muggle would command a well-trained dog. Oh! And his speeches; I swear he has created a spell that makes every word that comes out of his mouth so persuading, as if God spoke them himself! However, only Death Eaters themselves have heard his empowering speeches. What's disappointing is that no one really believes them when they boast and brag about how, well, how amazing he is. I've only ever heard stories from my father and his friends (more like acquaintances/accomplices), but I believe every word they say. The one time I have heard the Dark Lord speak, I pretty much melted on the spot from the power he commanded.
You know, it's really not hard to respect the guy. He may have done and still be doing pretty horrible things, but you have to admit, this guy is determined. When he's determined, he is determined and will do whatever he has to, to get what he wants when he wants it. I full-heartedly respect that. His drive is definitely admirable. As you can most likely tell, he's pretty much that main reason I want to be a Death Eater. I am not a typically submissive person, sexually and asexually, but to be in his command, well the thought itself is just thrilling.
I'll admit that I can understand why these "Light" people want him gone. However, I think they should really listen to what he has to say. His actual ideals and beliefs are really quite complex and fascinating. I'm not going go further in depth with them, because if you really want to know, find out for yourself! Nevertheless, if the "Light" tried, they could probably make some negotiations with the Dark Lord. Just because he has an absolutely immoral and inhumane way of promoting his point, it's a pretty bloody good point.
Being a Death Eater (if I do get initiated, because contrary to popular belief, it is quite difficult to get chosen to be marked since there has been an increase in "Light-side" spies), I guess I could try to help enforce his ideals into more "Light" people... Although, I'm not too sure how well that would work out... Well, it's not particularly that important at the moment, so for now, I just want to get initiated as soon as possible. It's my life dream, and my childhood-envisioned "perfect future".
Besides, I'll admit it does help that the mark is pretty, what is the word? Oh! Awesome, it's pretty awesome.
