Neville ran into the Great Hall, straight into the battle, looking for one thing. He stumbled slightly, not really looking where he was going. One thing going through his mind, he had to find her, he had to tell her. He didn't notice what was going on until a flash of green flew in front of him and hit the wall, causing it to crumble.
"You're the kid form the bridge!" a death eater yelled firing another curse. Neville dogged it and flung a curse of his own. They began to duel and other death eaters joined in, taunting him as they cast curse after curse.
Neville feared that it would soon be over for him as he was backed into the wall. He fought with all he could, taking one death eater down before he felt someone bump his shoulder. The girl started flinging curses with him, and they took down another death eater.
"I have got this one, Neville, go help out at the entrance!" Lavender screamed blocking a curse and firing one back.
Neville turned to the entrance and saw it was being bombarded. As he dashed to the doors he finally saw Luna and relief rushed through him. She was alive, if anything slightly beat up, battling with Ginny by her side. He knew it would be best not to talk to her now. He joined another Ravenclaw in battle and tried to keep Luna in sight.
Suddenly Harry and Voldemort were fighting in the middle of the hall. Timed seemed to stop and everyone lowered their wands to watch the battle in the middle of the hall. With everything Neville lost sight of Luna but he knew that this battle would make or break everything.
Neville could not believe his eyes when Voldemort fell to the floor, killed by his own spell. He knew that Harry would win, more hoped than anything, but it was different actually seeing it. He yelled with joy along with the other Hogwarts students. Death eaters fell to the floor or dissapperated. Neville then looked once more for Luna, unable to find her he started to run through the castle. Someone stopped him and told him to wait until everything was organized to go running around.
He still had yet to see Luna and as of right now that was a good thing because all he had seen was the dead. He sat in the corner of the Hall, not wanting to interrupt the families that crowded the center. He closed his eyes and put his head in his hands. He felt someone sit next to him and looked up. A grin spread across his face upon seeing Luna next to him.
"Hello Neville," She said looking into his eyes. Neville opened his mouth to speak, to finally say what he wanted to say, only to shut when he saw Luna's eyes wander around the rest of the hall. He looked at her for a bit more before sighing and looking around the rest of the room too. This was not a time for words. Instead Neville moved closer to Luna and put his arm around her waist. Her head leaned on his shoulder and Neville thought that it would do for now. They were both alive and that was all that mattered. He would find another time to tell her everything.
