"Emma, are you sure your parents are okay with you bringing me to the diner as your date? They don't even know we're dating. Who do they expect, anyway?" Regina asked her girlfriend when they were about to leave to go to the dinner to meet Emma's parents and her worst enemies.

"I told them I was bringing my girlfriend so I will" Emma said as she took the older woman's hand. "And besides, no one could hate you when you're wearing that dress." She smiled and looked at Regina's dress. She was wearing a simple black dress with lace around the top. She looked beautiful and Emma still couldn't believe she was actually dating this wonderful woman. Emma herself was wearing a simple jeans with a black tank top and the same red leather jacket she was wearing when they first met. Regina had once told her she loved it and ever since that moment Emma tried to wear it as much as possible. They were about the same height, but only because Regina was wearing killer heels that could not be comfortable. Emma put her arms around Regina and felt the woman was shaking a little, she hadn't realized how nervous Regina was. "Let's go my queen" Emma said. "I'll be there with you the whole time."

Emma and Regina walked into grannies and found that Snow and Charming were already there. "Sorry, we're late" Emma apologized. Snow's eyes widened as she saw the two woman walk in. "Emma?" she asked her daughter. "Is this the woman that you are dating?"

Emma could feel Regina tighten the grip on her hand. "Yes. Yes she is."

Charming's eyes hardened. "No!" he yelled. "My daughter is NOT dating the evil queen!"

"Dad, listen to me. Regina makes me happy and I will be with her with or without your approval. Because I love her."

Charming looked between the two lovers and sighed. He walked towards Regina "Welcome to the family, I suppose" he said. And that was the start of a friendly but slightly awkward diner.

That evening when they got home Regina glanced at the beautiful woman next to her. "Would you really have left your family for me?" she asked.

"Yes and no. Yes, I would leave David and Mary Margaret for you. But I wouldn't leave my family."

Regina looked at Emma, not understanding what she meant. Emma smiled "You are my family, my queen. You and Henry."

Regina smiled and leaned closer and kissed her knight softly on the lips.
