Six months and she could still smell the sulfuric scent of the crackling dark energy that had pushed her from the ring and into the water. She could still feel the belt as it lashed into her again and again, feeling like fire itself as it jerked welts across her bare calves. She had been left, pleading and crying roughly one hundred and eighty days ago and she was sick of feeling like garbage.
Tonight is the night I prove to mother I am stronger than she thinks!
She thought as she picked up the rusty dagger from the crate she used as a bedside table, silently praying that it would be enough. I hate that this is my only option but if I want to return to my people...I have to do this.
Pulling up the hood on her cloak and sheathing the dagger, the fire-haired teen slipped out into the alleyway. Glancing up at the moon she smirked, thinking about the monster that the silver kingdom had used to brainwash the civilians of the world into falling under their reign.
You will be helping everyone. She told herself as she made her way toward an abandoned shrine, ready to put her plan into order
Meanwhile in the middle of the city Square rode a woman on a horse as black as night, a purple colored saber at her side as the horse walked down the crystal coated streets, it's specially made shoes making a soft clip sound at every step.
"Lady Knight!"
The Masked woman glanced down to see a young boy holding out a crown of flowers, a common practice of the children whenever they saw anyone from the palace coming through.
"What is it little one?" She asked, trying to hide her smirk as he blushed and became suddenly shy. And this is why Queen Serenity let us keep Civilian identities, I couldn't handle being Kurai Knight or Sailor Eclipse twenty twenty-four seven.
She thought as she dismounted the horse, kneeling to the boy's height. "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"
"Um...here."
She had to bite back a chuckle as the child thrust the flowers into her hand, though she just smiled and ruffled his hair. He reminds me of Emilia when she was that age...before she turned into the cheeky little brat she is now. Although that trait she probably got from me. Tsuki thought with amusement as she stood, hanging the flowers around her neck.
"Thank you...Forgive me what is your name?" she said, however before the boy could reply she heard something go whizzing past her, turning just in time to see a fireball coming directly toward them.
"Shamatta!"
She cursed in kinmokuian as she allowed her aura to activate, the energy filling the ink along her arms that amplified her own powers. "Here, it will protect you. Now hurry and get out of here!"
Tsuki barked, removing her cloak and draping it around the boy before she stood, whirling to face the blast head-on as she reached out her right arm, the runes glowing crimson as a large purple blast countered the fire.
She was so preoccupied with the energy that she didn't notice someone teleport behind her, sinking the dagger deep into her shoulder blade.
