You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems like such fun
Until you lose what you had won"

With the shackles wrapped securely around his wrists and the metal guard sealed over his lips, Loki had a difficult time retaining his pride and dignity. That oaf Thor, his not true brother, pulled him forward while the self-proclaimed "avengers" watched with amused expressions. If he could have, Loki would have snarled at them. Those worthless mortals, watching his humiliation caused anger to burn inside him, begging to be released. But, the infernal contraption over his mouth forbade any sort of retaliation.
Thor stopped walking and called Loki's attention to the Tesseract that was held in his hand. All that power, unlimited power, that should have been his, but now it was to be put in Asgard's protection. He reluctantly gripped the opposite end of the device that had been built around the power source.
Soon, the pair would be back in Asgard and Loki knew he would face a harsh punishment for his crimes. All of the realm would most likely call for his execution. Well, not all, he thought. A face appeared in his mind of a lady possessing immeasurable beauty. She had golden hair and bright intelligent eyes. At least in appearance, she was truly his opposite. Ah, but their minds were so similar, so perfectly matched.
He narrowed his eyes in anger and pulled himself out of his reminiscing. He had forbidden himself from thinking of her since he fell from the rainbow bridge, and now she had reentered his mind, like a poison coursing through his veins. For she was like a poison to him, since anyone that Loki cared about weakened him in the end. And weakness was not an option, not now. Not ever again.
As much as the dark prince tried to keep his mind off of her, his mind apparently had other plans. At least by thinking of her, he would be able to ignore the self-proclaimed heroes currently gaining amusement from his current predicament.
He quickly passed over their time together internally, the stolen kisses and hidden affections until – no, he would not go down that road again. Why should he reopen the painful wounds? Especially now that he would be returning to Asgard and he would see her again.
Unless she was no longer there, perhaps she had moved to a new realm and found another. That single thought angered Loki more than he had expected it too. It should not matter to him if she had a new relationship since theirs was surely over, seeing as he no longer cared for her. And he had never loved her. At least, that is what he told himself.
With a jolt, he was pulled from Midgard as the Tesseract engulfed the two princes in its power. They were traveling through space at amazing speeds and all too soon their feet touched down in Asgard.

Sorry, I know that was pretty short. My chapters are always longer than this; I just needed to lay the framework for the story.
Let me know what you all thought of it! Good? Bad? Should I even continue?
If I do, the next chapter will jump back in time before the first Thor movie and continue through to Avengers and beyond (at least that's the plan) :)
Have a marvelous day! :D
