Bridge POV
I exited the Commander Center with a basketball in my hand. Sky, Z, Jack, Boom, and Dru followed behind. We had all finished training and even played a little light-ball after. It was only two hours before dinner, and I thought we could all play a game or two. Z, Boom, and I against Sky, Dru, and Jack; playing my most favorite sport. There's no way we could lose.
With 10 seconds to go, the ball was in my possession, and I started to dribble towards the other side. We were tied, and if I made this shot, we would...well, you know, win.
I stopped running, ready to shoot. The ball never left my hands, until Jack knocked it out of them. My shot was disrupted by an alarm coming from the Command Center. And If i may add, it was fairly louder than it would usually ring, which made me a little nervous. That was Jack's chance, therefore he stole the ball, and shot, letting their team win. We ignored the basketball and let it roll onto the grass. Our team ran towards Headquarters. Jack and Dru, not dazed by the alarm, still had huge grins plastered on their faces because of their basketball victory.
We saluted to Commander Cruger suit, despite the alarm still blaring in our ears.
"Rangers," he said with a sigh as he looked at Kat Manx, "All the monsters...they've escaped."
"How did this happen?" Boom replied.
"Someone let them out. I can't believe it. They're at the Angel Grove shopping district. They didn't start chaos until 5 minutes ago. Apparently, someone released them over an hour ago, according to surveillance. Why they would travel all the way to Angel Grove, well, I just don't know. Rangers, use the Copters. They'll get you there in no time. Please be safe and good luck. We need them back behind bars."
We saluted once more.
"Are you guys ready?" Jack shouted.
"Ready!"
"SPD EMERGENCY!"
Shock took over us. We were flying over the Angel Grove area, and that's when we saw mass after mass of citizens running every direction. We could easily spot the monsters. There were hundreds of them. They were accumulated over the past 2 years because Cruger called for a lab test on all of them. Though some were kept in the cards, they were also put in cells, locked safely away. Well, not safely enough, apparently.
We couldn't take them. As soon as we got out of the Copter, they immediatly attacked. It was just too much. When I thought I could finish off one guy, another would jump in and block, or one could get me from behind. While that was happening, shops and buildings exploded. We just couldn't take it, and our power went down. We didn't even get to call our zords in. Little by little, we ended up against a wall, surrounded. They could've finished us off, but they didn't. The team got a good look of them. All the guys we've ever defeated for the past few years were silently watching us with grins on their faces. Then, in a flash, they disappeared, teleporting to another destination.
