"I scowl with frustration at myself in the mirror. Darn my hair – it just won't behave, and darn Katherine Kavanagh for being ill and subjecting me to this ordeal. I should be studying for my final exams, which are next week, yet here I am trying to brush my hair into submission. I must not sleep with it wet. I must not sleep with it wet. Reciting this mantra several times, I attempt, once more, to bring it under control with the brush. I roll my eyes in exasperation and gaze at the pale, brown-haired girl with blue eyes too big for her face staring back at me, and give up. My only option is to restrain my wayward hair in a ponytail and hope that I look semi-presentable."
Bella closes the book "This is bull. I can't let my daughter anywhere near this."
Jacob shrugs "I found it on her bookshelf."
"Who gave it to her? Renesmee is homeschooled."
"I don't know." Jacob said "Can I see that book for a second?"
Bella handed it over with a curious look but Jacob was not about to tell her. He disappeared into the office with the book.
Later when Bella came in to talk to Renesmee about behaving better in the house and not buying such disgusting books, she looked over at the bookshelf and saw the book. Cursing Jacob Bella reached over to take it away, she flipped it over in her hands to see the cover.
"I take it back. You can read this." She said. Renesmee snatched it from her hands with an irritated huff.
"I'm not two weeks old mom, I can do what I want." She froze as she opened the book. "Every Kind of Wrong? And this isn't even the book, it's all been whited out!"
Bella smiled and left the room.
"Enjoy your book." She said.
