Hi, all! Went searching through my computer because I know I've written more than just essays for fandoms. Some of my other works are...eh. So I probably won't post them, at least not until they've undergone major reconstruction. Of course, then I found this little beauty. I wrote it from Harry's perspective, which might be obvious. Take a peek, tell me what you think. My stuff is kind of scattered, so more poems having to do with the HP fandom might pop up.

Happy reading!

Split me open and watch me bleed

What a morbid thing to say

But I am no bright, shining sun

To dry the tears on a rainy day

How often in the life I've lived

Do people stare at me and call,

"That's our savior, there;

The one who saved us all…"

They put me on a pedestal

Where all the world can see

And yet despite all I possess

I only wish to be free…

And then comes the betrayal

I do something wrong

And everything is taken from me

The world with no more song

People sneer at me

And my friends all turn away

And there I lie, on the bloody ground

No kind soul to pave my way

No one listens to me scream

And not one person stops at my cries

So now I can only dream

Of a world with no more lies

Split me open; watch me bleed

And see if I give a care

To save you and your messed-up world

From the depths of your despair
