Wonka World

"Mommy, what would happen if the world was made of candy?" Simm asked impatiently. He had just finished reading Charlie and the Chocolate factory.

"Oh," his mother chuckled, "that would not be a very stable world."

"Still though," Simm wouldn't let it drop, "what if Willy Wonka made the world?"

"Well, I guess that the oceans would be made of sodas and the tree leaves would be peanut brittle…" she thought on, "but that wouldn't work, Simm, you know why?"

"Why wouldn't it?" Simm questioned.

"The fish and all the sea creatures would be sticky and they wouldn't be able to breathe in soda," she reasoned, "and with peanut brittle leaves, the caterpillars wouldn't have a healthy leaf to eat, they wouldn't become butterflies."

"Well Mom, the fish would be made of Swedish Fish and the caterpillars would have a taste for peanut brittle," Sam said as if it was obvious, "because they would be made of chocolate. Put them together and you would have a peanut butter cup! And when they became butterflies, they would drink the nectar from bubble gum flowers!"

Simm's mother laughed, deciding to play along. "Then what would the rain be from the clouds?"

"Ooo!" Simm licked his lips, "the rain would be gummy bears, and they would come from cotton candy clouds!"

"Wow, that would taste wonderful," his mom said, "and what about the grass and the snow that would cover it in the winter?"

"You're so silly," Simm joked, "the grass would be made of spearmint sticks and the snow would be made of marshmallows!"

"Well," his mother said, "you know that in an all candy world you would start getting sick."

"No!" Simm yelled.

"Yes, your tummy wouldn't feel to well," his mother continued, "you need have a healthy lifestyle, especially when you are young, and this includes the food you eat."

"Aww," Simm sighed, "is that why I can't always get a candy bar at the store?"

"Yes, I just want you to be healthy." His mother said.

"Well, thank you for caring about me so much," Simm said, "but still, wouldn't it be awesome to have a Wonka World just for one day?"
