Millennium and 16-year Mission
Once when the world was at peace,
There was a girl with big gold eyes,
Yet unknown to her she would soon cease,
"She is gone!" The monk cries,
Everyone is sad in Greece,
And slowly the peace dies.
Then a millennium creeps by,
A girl is born,
With hopes so high,
With eyes the color of gold or corn,
She never seems to cry,
Even when pricked by a thorn.
Then the girl turns sixteen,
Meets two boys,
And is stuck in between,
They make so much noise,
One is mean and the other is lean,
And there are no joys.
She finally made peace,
Between the two guys,
Yet unknown to her she would soon cease,
"She's gone!" Her friend cries,
And the two boys called Egypt and Greece,
Make peace while she flies into the skies.
Her millennium and 16 year long mission
Complete.
(Background info if you don't understand the concept!)
Egypt and Greece were hated enemies. They REALLY hated each other. They went to war a couple of times but they still prevailed. It is said that a girl brought peace to these two countries, but it cost her life. I portrayed the two countries as two young boys and the girl, as a girl. The first verse is kind of like why Greece and Egypt didn't like each other. A woman died to that Greece was sad and didn't make enough food because it was morning for the loss of the woman, so it decided to steal from rice Egypt. Then in the second verse she comes back to life to try to bring peace and cannot cry because so many tears have been shed around her.
