Long, long ago, when Bow was just a child, the elder Rainbowians thought that the safety of The Worlds could be better preserved if it was entrusted to a powerful entity. So power over The Worlds was given to The Light, the force of good.
However, this was not to last.
The Darkness, the force of evil, became jealous of the power given to The Light. It fought The Light for control of The Worlds.
After many battles, and many destroyed worlds, they agreed to a contest. Whoever could win the most worlds, won control of everything.
Both The Light and The Darkness enlisted many people to their cause, but this caused even more destruction.
So each entity chose two champions, one human and one Rainbowian to fight for them. The Light chose Sari and Bow. The Darkness, to try and gain an edge over The Light's champions, chose their siblings, Aren and Shadow, and changed them to its will.
Their struggle remains to this day . . .
But there is hope.
The elder Rainbowians, in seeing their mistake, chose one human of pure heart to try and rectify what they had done. They called this human The One, and made plans for her to leave her home planet, the center of The Worlds.
One of the elders, Bow's master Starwatcher, entrusted Bow with the task of protecting The One.
However, The One had to be hidden from The Darkness and The Light. So the Rainbowian elders took The One out of her own body and placed her into The Light's other champion, Sari, so that Bow could always be near The One.
". . . The One is the only one that can stop The Darkness and The Light. She must find the power to do so within herself. Let us hope that she is able to find it and save The Worlds from destruction . . ."
