Hey guys, I was just taking a break writing my Ghost Hunt fanfiction and thought I'd try my hand at a death note one shot! So leave me a review and let me know what you thought.
Okie here we go.
"Ah, Mr. Whammy. Thank you for comming." Said a young man, most likely in his late twenties.
"No problem at all. I would just like to look around, I am funding this orpanage after all." Said Quillish Whammy, and elderly man in a brown suit and a neatly trimmed mustache.
"Of course." Said the man. He then lead Mr Whammy through the dimly lit halls of the orphanage.
He stopped at one door in particular, and opened it to show the view of kids screaming and throwing toys at one another.
"Well, they certainly don't seem to be sad." Mr. Whammy said, and he walked into the noisy room.
He made his way around playing or talking breifly with a child. When he made it to the back of the room, he caught sight of a young boy with messy black hair, he was wearing loose fitting jeans and a too large white shirt.
The boy was sitting in a crouched position, balancing dangerously on the balls of his feet.
From the looks of it he was stacking blocks on top of eachother, completely oblivious to the things around him.
He was alone, but he didn't seem lonely.
A small blue ball came sailing through the sair, knocking the block tower to the ground. The boy blinked and began to build his tower again, as if nothing ever happened.
A boy came over and picked up the ball, but instead of leaving, he stood and watched the other boy bulid his perfectly straight tower.
"Why won't you come play with us?" Said the boy holding the ball. The other boy didn't say anything, instead he placed a yellow block on top of the previously set green one.
The boy with the ball kicked the newly constructed tower, causing the blocks to tumble once more.
This didn't seem to faze the other boy, instead he began the building process once more.
The boy with the ball, looked upset, and like most children his age were unsure how to handle their anger. He tooks the black haired boy's shoulders, and pushed him backwards, causing him to loose the balance in his crouched postion and fall back on his rear.
"Your weird!" Said the boy with the ball and then turned and ran to play with some other children.
The black haired boy sat their for awhile, his face was emotionless. Looking closely at his face, you can see black under his eyes, obviously from lack of sleeps.
The bags under his eyes made his owlish eyes look even bigger, and they stood out against his stark white skin.
The boy looked sad for a brief moment, before he once again sat and began to build with the blocks.
Mr. Whammy made his way over to the boy offering him a small smile and sat beside him.
"Hello." said, his mustache twitching with the smile on his lips.
The boy regarded him for a moment before turning back to his slowly growing tower.
"May I ask your name?" Mr. Whammy said, hoping to coax a conversation from the boy.
The boy look thoughtful for a moment, his hands placing one block on top of another before he spoke he blinked his owl like eyes and placed his thumb to his pale lips.
"L." He said finally. Mr. Whammy looked shocked for a moment, I mean, who names their child L? He recovered quickly and reached into his pocket.
"Hello L, I am Quillish Whammy. I fund this orphanage."
Mr. Whammy held out a strawberry flavored lollipop out to the child and felt a sense of happiness and pride when L took the sweet with a small smile on his once emotionless face.
Alright it was the first time writing death note so lets not be too mean okie?
Leave me a review and let me know what you thought!
