The Picture
I look in a picture
All I can see
A face in the darkness
That looks just like me.
But the eyes are sunken
The smile is fake
The features are blurred
The body it shakes.
No one hears it scream
Yelling for a friend
One who it truthful
Not one who pretends.
But the cries go unanswered
And it is alone
No one cares enough
The body is prone.
Harsh insults are
Thrown it way
The white it is blackened
All that's left is the grey.
The world becomes useless
The body gives in
The earth is corrupted
Fill full of sin.
And I look more closely
I completely forgot
I gaze at a mirror
A picture its not.
