One day when I was younger, my mother decided that all of my 'issues', as she termed them, would go away if I had a friend to play with. So she asked her friend Lady Asoka and her seven daughters to join her for tea one day. Right as the clock struck two, the Lady and her seven identical, pink-clad daughters showed up. I couldn't tell one from the next. I was introduced to all of them in a whirl of names, but none stuck out. They were all simpering sissy girls. Unacceptable. So I smiled politely asked in my sweetest voice if we could go play together in the courtyard. Well, my mother knew that, even when she was in charge, it was still best to give me what I wanted. If a demon wants to play instead of killing you, then you can be damn sure it's going to play.
I led the wide eyed little girls through the corridors of the palace, trying to ignore their gawking. Agni, it was like they had never seen walls before! We finally made it to the courtyard, and I told them we were going to play hide and seek, and I would be the seeker. They all nodded compliantly, and I hid my eyes. Maybe I should've told them that we were really playing hide and burn, but it seemed like a fun surprise for them.
One thing about stupid girls: they are terrible at all fun games. I found the first three without even taking a step, then leapt upon them and burnt holes in their pretty little matching outfits. That's what they get for wearing such ridiculous outfits in my palace.
Three more started crying when I did that (prissy) so I found them quickly. Then there was only one left. I searched the floor of the courtyard diligently, but the pink child was nowhere to be found. I let my lip pout a little, for I had never before been beaten, and then heard a giggle that seemed to come from directly above me. I looked up just in time to see a brown braid whip out of sight. I was in the tree in an instant, palms blazing, and the girl dropped down quickly. I was walking toward her, hand raised, when the mothers came in to check on us. It must have been quite a scene: most of the girls burned and crying, my mother's favorite tree on fire, and me, stalking toward a girl with my hands ablaze. My mother cried out and Lady Asoka gathered her blackened children to her, then came to grab the last one from me. But the girl stood her ground.
"Ty Lee," her mother pleaded, and I suddenly remembered her name, "Please come home. The princess is feeling…" here she glanced at my mother, looking for approval, but she was still aghast at the ruin of her perfect courtyard. I smirked. "A bit… unwell at the moment. Yes, unwell." The Lady smiled like she was proud of herself. I couldn't decide who I hated more, her or her worthless daughters. The only one I could stand was the little one, Ty Lee, who still stood by me.
"No, mama. I want to stay. We're just playing. They just don't understand the game like I do." She explained in a torturously high pitched squeak of a voice. Then she smiled, brighter than the sun, or my pretty blue fire. There was something wrong with this little pink girl, so unlike her sisters, and I wanted to find out just what it was.
I felt like writing more Tyzula! This one starts out innocent, but I really have no idea where it's going to go, so I'll warn you if it gets worse. It's definitely going to be a chapter story, so tell me whether you think I should continue or not! I'll wait for your feedback, and if I get enough responses then I'll post another in a week.
