It had grown dark, and Tonks was standing next to the Gryffindor Common Room entrance with one foot propped against the wall. She had her arms folded while a single finger tapped against her arm. She was waiting for a certain Quidditch Captain to stop avoiding his common room because of the party that was occuring inside.

She thought about how humorous it was that the star of the Gryffindor team didn't attend the victory parties that only happened because he sought his team to victory; his Seeker skills were undeniable.

Despite being in a different house, Tonks always supported her friend in his matches and expected him to celebrate every once in a while. She made him an offer that she'd be by his side the entire time of the party if he showed up the next time Gryffindor won.

Of course they did, and now Tonks was waiting for him to actually show up. She'd tear him a new one if he didn't.

Luckily, Tonks spotted the moppy red hair a distance away and released a breath in relief.

"Didn't think you would actually show up to your own common room, Charlie," Tonks said with a grin.

Charlie scratched the back of his head and looked away. "I thought about it," he said. "But I didn't want you standing near the entrance all night waiting for me."

"You know I would have done something rather awful to you."

"There's that, too."

Tonks kicked off the wall and weaved her arm around his. "Enough chatter," she said. "Shall we party?"

Charlie nodded slowly, allowing himself to be guided into the tower. The atmosphere was completely different than beyond the portrait, but it was obvious charms and spells were at play. Music was booming, students were rowdy and all over the place, and furniture was in disarray.

Tonks looked over to Charlie, who seemed frozen, but she nudged him with her elbow.

"Come on, Charlie, celebrate," she urged with a grin.

Charlie looked uncomfortable, but the sound of applause soon echoed beyond everything else.

"Charlie's here!" came a voice.

"Woo! Our boy, Charlie!"

"You're the man!"

Tonks glanced at Charlie, seeing the slight embarrassment beginning to show on his face. She took him towards the table covered in drinks.

"See? Isn't this pleasant?" she asked.

"This is suffocating," Charlie replied with a frown.

Tonks huffed before passing him a drink. "Just one hour, then we'll leave and go sit by the lake."

"Half an hour, and we'll visit Professor Kettleburn."

Tonks placed a hand on her hip. "You strike a hard bargain, Charlie, but I accept."

She watched as he took the cup with a relieved smile and gave her a nod. The two continued on with the party for half an hour as agreed. Tonks knew Charlie wouldn't admit it, but she knew that he enjoyed being at the party at least a little. That's more than she could ask for with the redhead.
