'Yes, another 'Oh my god I'm in love with Loki! MUST. WRITE. LOKIxOC. FANFIC!' But what the heck :D'
Stacking boxes into vehicles wasn't her initial idea of being an agent when she signed up, after 3 years you'd have thought she'd have something to show for it by now.
"Mi!" a voice hissed at her as breaking her out of her daydream.
"Sorry." Shaking her head a little, Mia continued to load the boxes Amy passed her.
"So much for it being an emergency" Amy laughed at her, used to Mia's wandering mind.
"Would be alright if they told us what was going on"
"Nahh, we're level 2's" Amy said jumping down from the back of the jeep, her jet black hair up in a tight ponytail. "Why would they do a thing like that?" she smiled sarcastically.
"You're a level two" Mia replied flatly. Amy had always been 'agent material'; she was a level two already and had only been there for a year. Despite envying her she was Mia's best friend and the reason she was allowed within 10 feet of anything actually important.
"Shut up" Amy rolled her eyes as they locked the vehicles and started heading back, "You'll get there this exam"
"All done?" A strict voice interrupted them. Hill glared, obviously annoyed how lightly the two trainees were taking the situation. Without waiting for a reply she turned on her heels, only to stop again as a group of men passed her.
Mia looked over her shoulder, sensing the situation seemed unusual. Celvic and Barton followed a man she didn't recognise, some sort of staff in his hand.
"Who's that?" Hill asked.
"They didn't tell me"
Amy and Mia glanced at each other before trying to hurry off with the remainder of the boxes.
"Wait." Said the black-haired man. Mia thought he was talking to Hill or one of the other agents so she had to do a double take when he was looking at her. Loki was good at sensing character, this new girl fixated him for a moment, such determination, and such desire to be something more, on his side she would surely be useful.
He nodded towards her and Barton instantly walked up to her, grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the rest, causing her to drop the boxes she was carrying.
"What have I done?" Mia rushed, her heart pounding, had she messed up somewhere again? Was she going to be told to leave?
Amy dropped her boxes and looked to Hill, something wasn't right.
All of a sudden Hill's radio picked up "Barton has turned"
Hill and Amy instinctively acted as Barton practically threw Mia and shot at them. Mia fell to the ground and looked toward her friend who luckily got out of the way, the men jumped into the vehicles and sped off at the blink of an eye. Loki however smirked at Mia, a secret promise in his eyes.
"Mia!" Amy ran over, "Are you okay?"
She couldn't speak yet, something about that stare had been haunting and she wasn't sure she even wanted to know what had happened. Hill was already gone.
"Who was that?"
"Trouble." Fury groaned as he turned up behind them, obviously hurt. "You two… are now in on it."
The girls looked at each other. Mia was worried, she didn't understand what was going on yet but this could also be a chance to prove herself to become a level two. Whatever it was, it must be important if they're going to include a level one for simple seeing everything…
