A/N: hey guys! Evyplayz here! This is my second story soo... Congrats for me! That is, if you can call the first one "story"... Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. I actually took quite a bit of the begining from "The Monster Hunter" by 'thisisawsome001001'. Well, the begining really. Later on it's pretty much original. Also, i'll probably take some time to update if only because I merely started this as a hobby and I write in my free time, and I don't have a whole lot of it so... Yeah. I plan on this to be serious and cool yet funny, so expect some ooc puns or whatever, to lighten the mood ya know.

I DON'T OWN THE CHARACTERS ONLY THE PLOT AND OC's.

MA HOMIE RICK DOES.

Anyway, ONTO THE STORY!

Athens, Greece

2694 B.C

So. Never thought this is what my life will turn to. On the run, constantly hiding from those... Monsterswho tortured me for years. The things they did to me... Those... Horrible rituals they performed on me, things that will scar me for life... But while giving me scars and nightmares for maybe the rest of my partially immortal life, it gave me determination.

I will live on. I will live on, to have a happy life. I will live on, to see them fall.

They did horrible things to me. Sacrificing bodies of other demigods and infusing their power and godly essence into me. To make me stronger.

And they have made me stronger. My body accumilated the godly essence, giving me the powers of the demigods that were sacrificed. They sacrificed sons of Poseidon, sons of Hades, sons of Zeus and sons of Heaphestus, fire users. (This is not at all connected to the fact that I just wanted him to have all da cool powars. Not at all.)

They wanted to make a monster.

They succeeded.

And they will pay.

Alright! Enough of my rambling. Look at me, talking about revenge. You don't even know who I am!

Well, allow me to tell you my story and introduce myself! Now I don't have to tell you my story, but it'll be more fun that way! You'll get to know more about me!

And i really want to!

Hi. My name is Perseus, but call me Percy. I'm normal, i guess you can say. Well, to some extent. What do i mean? Well, i'm a monster hunter. I hunt monsters. It can translate to taking contracts from people having monsters terrorizing their field or whatever, or it could be training, or it could be just for getting loot on contract-dry days. Now, you would think that i would have to be a demigod for such a "job application", but actually, no. I'm a clear sighted mortal. Clear sighted mortals are complete mortals who can see clearly through the mist, meaning the mist has no effect on them no matter how strong it is.

What is the mist?

Well, the mist is a magical layer of defense, that it's purpose is to change the looks of all of the magic world stuff, such as monsters, to things that a normal mortal mind can understand. For en examole, a cycplops, even though he only has one eye, would look like a normal person, and a hell hound would look like a really big dog or a lion or even an elephant for the huge ones. Now, demigods also have resistance to the mist, although it isn't nearly as strong as it is for clear sighted mortals, As demigods can still be affected by it. Normal mortals have no resistance to the mist, so they would never see the real world as it is.

Anyway, i'm not here to give you a lesson. I'm here to tell you my story.

I was walking along the beautifull streets of Athens on my way to the market. The pavewalks made of shiny marble, the tree parks and gardens filled with exotic plants and trees, the astounding architechture of the buildings, it's all pretty amazing. I love my city.

The market was bussling with activity as the residents of the city were exchanging goods and money for other stuff, such as tools, clothing, goods and others. Anyone who is normal would think that this market is normal, and they would be right. Partially.

I entered the market, looking for the small shop that was the secret entrance to the "weird" part of the market. After i found it i got inside. There was an old, grumpy man, looking in his sixties or so, fat and poorly muscled. One would think he is no threat, But you could'nt be more wrong. This, is Asamaiah. The immortal elder guardian of the secret demigod quadrent of the market.

Without even looking he said: "bust off kid. No buisness today".

"is that how you treat one of your favourite costumers Sam? I'm hurt." I replied, with a bit of sarcasm in my voice for good measure.

Then he looked up at me "Perseus my boy! How are you doing?"

"I'm great Sam, but I keep telling you. Call me Percy! Perseus makes me feel old. I'm not old!"

He laughed "sure, Perseus. Sure."

I scowled, but could'nt hide the little smirk on my face. "whatever. Anyway, you know why i'm here."

"of course i do. You came to say hi!"

"Sam..."

"okay okay!" he laughed "here. Path is open." he said as he pulled a secret lever from under his desk. As he did a small section of the wall to his left started rambling and then it retracted and folded to the right, acting as a hidden door to a stone corridor. A couple meters after the entrance there were staircases leading underground.

"thanks Sam. I'll see you later!"

I entered the tunnel and walked down the stairs, reaching the market. It was actually right bellow the normal market. Pretty convenient in terms of space usage.

I walked to the area with my desired stand. You see, as a monster hunter, I kill monsters and can then sell the loot I get. Sometimes I get armor leftovers from monsters such as dracanae (assuming they were armored), or pelts and skins from monsters like hell hounds. Almost everything has a value, but some things have more then others.

Such as drakon skin. That is, if you even manage to kill one and Live to tell it. It's hide is almost impenetrable, even to weapons made to kill monsters, such as weapons made of celestial bronze. but if you manage to kill one, it's skin can make for some insane set of armor, or a sword made from it's scales.

But you can also buy things in the market. Weapons, potions, spells and even knowledge. The currency used for such trades is the currency of the gods; coins called drachmas.

Drachmas also have uses other then buying and selling items. You can create a rainbow by splashing a bit of water to the air in the light, and then you can make an 'Iris Message'. toss a drachma into it and say the prayer; 'O' Iris, goddess of rainbow, accept my offering'. If she does (which she has no reason not to), the drachma will dissappear mid air. Then you tell her to connect you to whoever you want and you will see him/her and be able to talk to him/her for about 5 minutes. You can also make an Iris Message to see other places.

Man, I sound like a child of Athena. Crap.

Okayy. Forget about my rambling. Let's get back to topic.

The merchant in the stand I arrived to, was called Kierses. A weapons forger, legacy of Heaphestus. His weapons are always top notch in terms of quality. But he is more of a hard, melee weapons kind of guy. You know, swords, axes, knives and stuff, although he does make arrows. He is also a good friend of mine, and my father's.

You see, i come from a centuries old legacy of monster hunters in my family, so when I was little (not too little though, to not put me in too much danger), my dad would take me with him to the smaller hunting trips, to get me familliar with the feeling. Nowadays, when I hunt, I hunt with my father. Now, you must be asking: "but Percy, if your dad also hunts with you, why did you go to the market alone?" Well, that's simple, really. He's home currently, sharpenning our arrows. You see, as hunters, one of the best weapons for the job is a bow and arrow. It's ranged, silent, and is best used from a height advantage, which is a key thing in being a hunter. Stay high, stay alert, stay stealthy.

Then I arrived at the stand and greeted him. "hey Kierses."

"hey Percy. How are ya? Need something to fix? More arrows?" he said.

"no. The weapons are still at a very good condition from the last time we brought them to a check. This time i'd like to buy something new for my father, as a birthday gift. "

"ah, wonderfull! So, what can I get you?"

"I would like to get a set of throwing knives. We never really use them, but I know he would love to get one. He sometimes mentions it."

"very well, but i'm afraid I don't have any at the moment. Tell me how much you want and i'll get them done in a day's time."

"ok. A set of 8 will do."

"sure. Come back tommorow, they will be ready."

"thanks Kierses! I'll pay you a half now and the rest tommorow."

"sure thing. Have a good day Percy!"

"Have a good day Kierses!"

And so I went back outside of the demigod market and to my family's house. As I laid in my bed I could'nt take off the smile that's on my face. Dad's birthday is in 3 days. I can't wait to see his reaction when I give it to him! Now, that did give me a considerable hole in my savings, but it's worth it.

And with these thoughts, I drifted off to sleep...

A/N: Okay guys, end of the first chapter! Took me about 2 more to write it, but i'm happy with how it came out! Tell me what you think! Untill the next one guys, review, or else...
