As you may or may not be able to tell, my favourite pairing is Lily and James! This is a one (maybe two if I get reviews for another chapter) shot about them and the war. It's quite short. I based it on The Resistance by Muse (Amazing song by a supermegafoxyawesomehot band! :D) But...enjoy. The POV is a little odd...and I've never written anything quite like it before so I hope you like it!

Disclaimer: Don't own much...except my horse and my car and my phone...;D

I'm cornered, feeling trapped. The dark hoods close in on me and I wonder who would do such a thing. They are people, no matter how much I want to deny it, they are people and they want to hurt others. Mudbloods, like me, that's who they want to hurt. They're death eaters.

I close my eyes and breathe in deeply; surprised air was still going through my chest at this point. Why aren't they killing me? I sighed and remember your arms wrapped around me, keeping me close. My head lay on your chest, hearing the steady thump of your heart. James, where are you? Please; please be okay.

I end up escaping, only because they are feeling a slight bit of mercy after hours of relentless torture. I didn't let one thing slip from my mouth, no secrets; not even a scream.

When everyone finally comes back together, or what's left of us, you run and embrace me. I sigh, not thinking I would ever feel your warm, strong arms around me again.

"Lily," You whisper and I can hear the pain evident in your voice. "I'm so sorry." You croak hoarsely and bury your face in the crook of my neck.

"It's okay." I say soothingly and gently stroke your messy hair. It calms me but I feel...empty.

Weeks go by and the emptiness in my chest doesn't fade. I force small smiles to flash on my face, for you, but you know. You, unlike others, know what's going on.

"I'm worried about you." You sigh one day, slamming your hand on the table.

I gulp deeply and tell you I'm perfectly fine. You know better, you know I'm lying. I'm not fine, not at all.

You shake your head and mumble incoherently under your breath. I sigh and take your hand, roughly pressing my lips to yours in a way we haven't even thought about in a long while. You take my waist in your hands, backing me up to the wall until my back thumps aganist it. I sigh heavily aganist your lips, letting all the pain and heartache I've been keeping in go with this kiss. You want to help me, I know you do.

When we finally pull our lips apart, you clutch my hollow cheek in your hand and your hazel eyes meet my green. You gulp and looked down for a moment before back up at me. "Marry me." You whisper softly, waiting for my answer.

A/N: Want Lily's answer? Review please :)
