Finn just doesn't get it. He doesn't understand how Sam Evans can be wanted by every girl and gay
male at Mckinley high and refuse everyone of them. Not saying that Sam is gay, and that he totally wasn't grinding on that Blaine Anderson guy at 'Rachel Berry's party extravaganza' to "Blame it on the alcohol." Finn totally wasn't watching that happen.

Finn realizes that he's in Spanish staring at the back of Sams blonde hair and he knows that he shouldn't be staring and that this possibly looks homosexual but Finn can stop looking at the hickey on Sans neck, it was almost unto noticeable until Sam pressed his fingers to the bruise and the concealed came right off. Finn can't help but wonder who gave him this hickey because Sam was single as far as Finn knew.

Finn knows he shouldn't be in Sans personal business, but he wants to know a few things

He wants to know who Sam is thinking about when he sings ballads in glee club, and how he has that "sparkle in his eyes and a contagious smile on his face." Finn wouldn't have noticed any of this if Rachel hadn't told him about it. And ask why Finn couldn't be romantic as Sam was when he sang.

Finn also wants to know why he spends so much time with Blaine. Rachel thinks that Blaine is dropping off clothes and shoes for Sam to wear when they have those afterschool meetings. But Finn thinks its impossible because no one has that many clothes to give three times a week. When Finn goes to the Lima bean to get Rachel a Carmel Java whatever, Sam and Blaine are there, their mouths extremely close together and their hands locked. But Finn just thinks they had just finished an intense game of arm wrestling. So intense that they forgot to stop holding hands. That's possibly all it is.

When Spanish class is finally over,Finn almost forgets to go to his next class. It isn't often that he has Sam Evans on his mind, but it isn't often that things add up and make sense either. Sam's talking to Blaine at Blaines locker when he says hello to him and Blaine gives him a small smile and directs his attention back to Sam. Its like they're the best of beat friends who occasionally kissed in the boys locker room. Rumors go around fast at Mckinley high, but Finn isn't so sure this one is a rumor.
