"Equality is not a concept. It's not something we should be striving for. It's a necessity. Equality is like gravity. We need it to stand on this earth as men and women, and the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition. It is life out of balance, and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who's confronted with it. We need equality. Kinda now."

Milla knew what her friends would say if they knew what she were doing.

"Don't think like that." Leia would say with a crossed look.

"Milla," Rowen would say reasonable as always. "What your doing is an unwise and unwanted assumption."

"Milla," Elize would say "Don't go!" Teepo mean the while wouldn't let go of her.

"You're being stupid." Alvin would cover his feelings with harsh words.

"It's your decision." Jude would say with a level head. "I just don't like it."

She didn't care, she knew what had to be done. Even if she didn't agree. Being with humans so long made her forget her mission. The fact she'd probably die well completing it. For some reason she wanted to stay. To protect them.

"Gaius," Milla addressed striding into the throne room.

"Lady Milla, as much as I respect-"

"Can it Wingul." Milla said straightly. The man's face churned.

"How dare you-"

"Wingul," Gaius spoke silencing the underline. "Please leave."

Wingul's eyes grew wide. "But sir-"

Wingul shared a dark look with Milla.

"Fine." He frowned, storming out of the throne room.

"What is it you want Maxwell?" Gaius asked, an edge to his voice.

Milla sighed. "Gaius, I am going to ask you a favor."

Gaius raised a curious eyebrow. "A favor? From the great Maxwell, I suppose I should be honored."

Milla rolled her eyes, a human trait she seemed to pick up.

"Is that a yes?"

Gaius nodded. "I'm listening."

"My friends." Milla said simply. "Watch them."

Gaius narrowed his eyes. "Why? I didn't think Maxwell cared for others."

"I didn't either." Shrugged off Milla. "It appears we were both wrong."

"They are more then capable of handling themselves."

"No they're not." Milla responded shaking her blonde head.

"I can't agree with that." Gaius frowned. "Rowen is one of the best strategists in the-"

"He's also a lonely old man." Milla cut in. "One who lost one of his charges."

"The girl. The improper one-"

"Leia."

"Yes, she seems capable of-"

"She's not." Milla stated.

"The little girl isn't a question." Gaius said. "If not for you I would for Jiao. As for the mercenary-"

"Alvin needs someone to point him on the right path." Milla defended.

"And Jude?"

"Jude," Milla gave a guilty look. "Jude needs to understand that he isn't an adult. That he doesn't have a responsibility to me or anyone. That he-"

"That he doesn't have to be the savior as you are." Gaius finished. "I noticed that as well."

Milla nodded along. "Thank you Gaius." She turned around and began to exit the room.

"I never said I'd do it."

Milla turned backward, with a small smile she said. "Yes, you will."

Gaius remained silent as Milla left the throne room and Wingul entered.

"Your majesty, what did-"

"Wingul," Gaius addressed. "I need you to make some preparations."

AN: I hope you guys liked it and please review. I like to think Milla and Gaius think of each other as equals and that theres not many Milla would trust the safety of her friends too.
