And in that moment… Johnny was hurt.
She stared at the four with horror etched onto her features. 'What did you just do?' She thought. Her body was frozen. Words were caught in her throat. Questions floated around in her head. She watched as Johnny fell to the ground.
And in that moment… she couldn't move.
Thousands of Akuma swarmed into the room. Scientists screamed and ran, pushing past her unmoving body. 'Johnny… Why him? What did he do?' She asked herself. She watched as that damned noah walked past everyone, straight to the egg, and Bak-san picking up Johnny's limp body and dragging his body to someplace somewhat safe from the Akuma. "Run, you dumbass!" She heard someone yell. The young girl turned to run, but was blocked by the most terrifying Akuma she'd come face to face with.
And in that moment… she didn't know what to do.
Her eyes widened, and with a sick realization, she thought, 'Nothing new here. Always running away.' She darted to the left, just barely missing the outstretched hand about to grab her. Her mind went into overdrive as she zig-zagged through the crowd. She dove behind a huge piece of equipment and sat down, pulling her knees to her chest and catching up with her breath which seemed a mile away. This couldn't be happening. There was no way to get to the exorcists now. What would happen to them next?
And in that moment… she knew they were all going to die.
There was no one to save them. The Akuma were going to kill them all and the noah would get their precious egg back. There wasn't even her older brother to go out of his way to save her this time. Like he always did. There would be none of that. This… is the end.
And in that moment… there was a spark of light, a spark of hope!
Reever and some of the others had successfully evaded the current Akuma threat. And they already had a plan to fight back. They were low on supplies though, and so was Bak-san's group. But the least they could do was try, right?
And in that moment… that spark died.
One by one, they were all being brutally murdered. One by one, each brain went, SPLAT! And the ones responsible? Those dirty skull-head bastards. All her friends, all her family, dead. Or dying. The corners of her eyes prickled with tears.
And in that moment… they were doomed.
"Tapp… No…" she murmured. She was too busy watching those… things convert her friend to notice the level three quietly approaching her. By the time she turned back, it was too late. She screamed, completely petrified, as the Akuma got just a little bit closer. Then it stopped. She glanced over to see Reever with his gun drawn, one if those skeleton people being split in half… and Allen. Allen Walker.
And in that moment… time stopped.
Allen Walker had managed to break in and save them. Another realization hit. Right to the stomach. There were thousands of Akuma… and only one Allen. But… how had he gotten in? Surely if he could, so could others. And there was only one possible way he could've gotten in. The same way the Akuma had.
And in that moment… she knew they would be okay.
She just wished she didn't have to relive that unforgettable, hell of a morning every time her head hit her pillow.
