She was on the treadmill when he stopped by. His hair dripped sweat, but his face reflected pure serenity and relaxation; not even an extra heave to catch his breath with. It was like he just came out of the most advanced, intense, and excruciating yoga class that anyone could find.
She wouldn't put it past him though; he was Asian after all.
And he just stared with that stupid smirk and a glimmer in those stupid eyes and that one lock of sweaty jet black hair just centimeters from plastering itself to his forehead.
She ignored him while going on her third lap. Not long after, she hissed a defining "what?" to him.
"Are you into older guys?" He dove head first into what he wanted to know, a quality she certainly appreciated, but one that had her almost tripping on the half mile.
Regaining her composure, she said "What's it to you?"
He grinned as he made his posture stronger. "It could be something to you."
This made her actually look at him. All the time, she was focused at the window view that she had in front of her. But this came from nowhere. Like the months that they've been at each other's throats suddenly disappeared.
She continued running. He was up to something- his eyes glittered with mischief. And if history repeated itself, she would run right into his trap. "I'm into whoever can keep my interest. Why are you at my gym?"
He stared straight into her eyes trying to be imposing, but being that she looked down her nose at him from her treadmill pedestal; it was less intimidating than in his office. She had to admit, he did hold his stance very well though.
"One: this is the company gym, and I am also employed here. And two: I've been slacking on gym runs, and since I'm on this well-deserved leave-"
"Suspension." She interjected.
"-I decided to come on down and work off this laziness." He accompanied this with a long stretch over his head, making his soaked vest ride up. Liar. That chiseled slither of abs have never felt the struggle of getting off the couch to do something productive with life or how hard it is to get out of bed even though it's 3pm and you slept the day away.
He grinned a little brighter when her eyes made it back up to his. She directed her gaze back to the window and couldn't keep her gaze from running to his firm ass. Dammit. She turned the machine to cool off.
"That's cool about your interest. I'm not looking for anything serious. Just some fun."
"How nice. I have enough fun in my life however. Thanks." She grabbed her towel and stepped off the belt.
"You wouldn't be disappointed."
"Oh, I'm sure you wouldn't."
"Older and experienced? I think I will."
She turned back to him. "Oh really now? You gonna use that excuse every time we get into competition?"
"No one asked to compete."
"Well that sounded like a challenge if I ever heard one."
"Take it as you wish."
She scowled. "You think you're so bad with your new haircut and your hands in your pockets and your inability to pant after a workout. Leave me alone. I don't like older men." She turned to stomp away.
He smiled genuinely as she made her leave. "Glad you noticed the haircut." He called. "Pick you up Friday at six!"
I'm looking for skilled writers! This is just a sample writing; an idea I suddenly got from a short chat with a stranger, written in the middle of the night. I love FanFiction, but I never have the patience for writing a full story myself. Anyone interested that can continue or incorporate this into their own story, please inbox me! I'd love to collaborate and have fun with this! Any pairing, any genre, any rating. Preferably NaruSasu Humor and Rated M.
