This will be a series, maybe.

A Rather Pesky Predicament.

"What a pesky predicament."

Sleek purple hair swished in the morning light.

"This won't do... Darling! Sweetie Belle! Bring Rarity some more olive fabric will you!"

"In a jiffy, sis!"

Her small limbs carried her across the room and up the stairs. A minute or so later, a large bundle of cotton showed itself. A few muffled, inaudible words came from it.

"Um, Sweetie Belle. What is this? This is not olive, it's pink!"

The bundle gave a loud scoff and turned back to the stairs. It struggled to climb them most definitely, recklessly shattering anything in it's path.

Rarity sighed and straightened her red spectacles. She glared at the monstrosity presented in front of her. It was worn by a plain mannequin, a very, very plain mannequin. A white as snow, blank as a paper, mannequin.

The dress displayed on it was a distasteful red. The pony who this dress belonged to never wore red, ever. It would look decent on her, though. But she would never willingly wear a completely red dress with frills. Frills!

Gold and green accersories, shoes and trim on the dress. Why not just call the owner a Christmas tree? She never did request this piece of fabric, only mentioned she would need a formal piece of attire. That's right attire, not a piece of fabric! Oh, well.

For what event was this dress to be needed for? A wedding? No, obviously, Rarity would be invited too. Party, no, for obvious reasons. Any other things seem unlikely.

A small, white filly came bounding down the stairs. She was holding a ridiculously teeny bit of fabric.

"I had a hard time finding it! I guess that rules scavenger off my list of possible cutie marks!" She beamed, but let her smile dim as her sister's face darkened.

"B-but, uh, where is the rest?!" Rarity shouted, diving into a chest of fabric near her. "There has to be more! The shipment from Canterlot doesn't show up until next week! Applejack needs it in 3 days!"

"You could just use the gold and blue fabric..."

"What?! Her color is green! Olive! Blue is Pinkie's color, and Twilight's and sometimes mine!"

Rarity retreated from the chest of frills and fabric, sprawling on the cold floor. She took of her glasses and placed them near her. She gave a frustrated sigh and looked to her sister.

"I suppose I could give it a shot," Rarity said in a odd tone.

Sweetie Belle smiled and trotted to retrieve a roll of navy fabric.

Meanwhile, Rarity had sprang off the floor and realised the mess she had made, of the room, her hair, and the neatly stacked fabric that had once all been in the chest. She brushed her wild mane and folded fabric. Straightening the crooked items in the room.

The young filly, came bouncing down the stairs, pink-purple hair swaying with each jump.

"I've got it!"

"Ah, good," Rarity topped off her cleaning task with a sweet scent of a vanilla candle.

Taking the soft, navy fabric, Rarity smiled. "I will work hard to finish this... dress!"
