A/N: I hope you enjoy this oneshot, but I'm gonna take this opportunity to say something. I've noticed the reviews on my chapter stories aren't really coming in, as well as my other stories. I really like to hear what everyone thinks, even if it is bad. The bad reviews make me a better writer. I enjoy writing and the reviews make it ten times better. So I'd really love it if the people who read this story reviewed it and my other ones please? Thanks!! Hope you like it!

He opened his arms and she turned to him in awe. They'd done it. Junior was her savior.

"We did it," she said as she took one large step towards him. She used her hands to pin him up against the wall and she kissed him, slipping her tongue into his mouth. He slipped his hands around her waist instinctively, holding her to him. She pulled away far too quickly in Junior's opinion, leaving him very dazed and speechless. He kept his arms around his waist, refusing to let her get out of his grip. He looked at her as if she were the most amazing creature ever.

"What was that for?" He asked her, looking up and down her face through squinted eyes, searching for an answer.

"Thank you. And goodbye," She told him, smiling slightly.

"Goodbye?" he managed to squeak out. Where was she going? And why hadn't she told him?

"Yeah, you're leaving for the rodeo circuit for 6 months," she told him, speaking as if he were a crazy man.

"Yeah," he replied, unenthusiastically. He'd completely forgotten. He couldn't, no he wouldn't leave her now. He sure as hell couldn't pretend this didn't happen. He wanted her, so bad. He loved her and he just wanted them to be together, as much as that sounded like a sappy country song, it was true. If he had her, he would be truly happy.

"I'm really proud of you, Junior. You know, going after your dreams full speed," Kris told him, pushing him back into the wall and looking him in the eye. He looked at her face as she said this, and all he saw was honesty. Pure honesty.

All he did was nod. He couldn't believe it. He was just going to let her walk away. Because he was a chicken, that was why. He just couldn't get up the guts to do it.

"So, when do we tell your dad the good news?" Kris asked him, beginning to back away now. It took all his strength and self-control not to pull her back to him. To hug her tightly and never let her go.

"Um, he should be home in about an hour," Junior answered, getting his voice back now. She walked off, saying, "Okay, I'll see ya then," and he just stared at her, before his instincts kicked in and he walked up to her.

He grabbed her quickly and forcefully, turning her to him. He put his lips to hers and wrapped his arms around her back, hugging her tightly to him, so tightly he wasn't sure she'd be able to breathe. She was taken aback at first, he could tell, but when she settled in her arms slipped around his neck. He pulled away from Kris and she looked astonished, to say the least.

"What was that?" She asked, blinking herself out of the kiss. She stumbled a little from the surprise and the passion that the moment had held for her.

"A thank-you for the thank-you," he told her with a smirk. He then pulled her to him again and kissed her. His hands relaxed a little more at her waist this time, when he realized that she wasn't going anywhere. He had her, for good this time. He could save his strength.
