Tsubaki leaned in her chair. it wasn't the first time she'd been here. In fact she'd been here many times before.
But none of her friends knew that. How many lies would she have to tell just to enjoy herself?
She sighed. Everyone saw her as some fragile thing, as if she was always seconds away from shattering into a million pieces.
She sighed once more as she rolled her head back. She wouldn't focus on that. Not tonight. Instead she would focus on her surroundings; The bass of the music vibrating through her body, the intense body heat of nearby individuals that were dancing, and of course the attractive male individuals she would make eye contact with.
Tsubaki couldn't help but smirk as she made eye contact with one young man as she made her way on the dance floor. She couldn't help but feel so alive, no one ever paid her much attention at the college. She was the quiet one. That was what everyone knew her as.
But here was different.
Guys wanted her.
And that was something she wasn't quite ready to let go of yet. It was what made her continue with all the lies, knowing that at least here, she was worth something. Even if it was just for a minute or two, it was a hell of a longer than it was at school.
The more she thought about the situation, the more Tsubaki danced. As if every hair flip, and every body roll would take the pain away.
And It did.
Just then, a pair of strong hands grabbed her waist and started dancing with her. Tsubaki went with it, pushing her body even closer to him and snaking her hands around his neck. Their bodies moving to the fast paced beat. However, she was caught off guard when he whispered into her ear.
"Tsubaki Nakatsukasa."
The raven haired female immediately turned around to face the young man who knew of her identity. She wasn't expecting blue hair, but he was absolutely handsome. His brown eyes were looking down at her waiting for a response.
Tsubaki narrowed her eyes. "Who are you?" She asked, her grip on the man loosening a bit.
The young man held on to her tighter, and grinned broadly. "Oh, you know. Just a guy." He said cocking his head to the side.
"Just a guy" her ass. This kid hardly regarded himself as "just a guy". He was a cocky little bastard, that was for sure. He was rather tall, even surpassing Tsubaki's height by a couple of inches. He exuded confidence. He seemed so sure of himself, the smirk on his face proving just that.
Tsubaki instantly felt envious of him. How great must it to be to know your place in the world, to be able to make your presence known, to never be forgotten.
She could already feel herself hating him.
"Just a guy, huh? A guy who happens to know my name, who are you really?"
The handsome lad threw his head back and unleashed a grand laugh. "I'm Black*Star of course. You may not know who I am, although I don't know how you wouldn't." He proclaimed rather loudly, but he dropped his voice to and whispered in her. "But I know who you are."
The young female just stood there, unsure of what to do.
"I'm a bit surprised to see you here, Nakatsukasa. You're quite the shy little thing in class, but you know what they say. 'It's always the quiet ones.'"
"What makes you so sure that you know me?"
"It's simple Nakatsukasa. I've been watching you."
