If anything, Sora figured Kairi would be more than delighted to see him but her face showed the exact opposite.

"Are you crazy?" the girl started in a hushed yell, "you're going to get me in so much trouble!" The brunette smiled at her. She was cute when she panicked. And even cuter due to the fact that rolling pins were set in her hair.

"How'd you even get up here? A-are you on a ladder?" Sora nodded, his spikes bouncing. The mayor had lived in one of the most expensive houses on the island. Unfortunately, that meant sneaking up to Kairi's second story room wouldn't be an easy task.

"I had to tell you something important."

"And you couldn't wait until tomorrow to tell me? Sora you shoul-"

"Happy Valentine's Day, Kairi."

It was silent for a moment. But Sora kept a smile on his face as the girl in front of him stared in disbelief. And slowly, a similar smile took over the girl's lips. Her hand covered her mouth in an attempt to quiet her laughter.

"It's a little late for that, don't you think?" The two ended up sharing a little laugh from the ridiculousness of their situation. Sora's chuckle cut short when a pair of lips gently touched his own. After recovering from the initial shock, he closed his eyes and kissed back.

Its wasn't soon before he was puckering against the cold air of the night.

"Sora!"

He opened his eyes and wondered why Kairi's window was getting farther and farther away. Then the brunette remembered how gravity works and managed to get himself off the falling ladder before it hit the ground. The metal clang was louder than he thought it would be when the stepping tool collided with the pavement around Kairi's house.

"Who's out there?" A man's voice boomed.

Before Kairi could blink, Sora vanished, leaving the ladder behind. She smiled as she shut her window closed.
