Imperative
"Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in."
It's been a while since he's detected any signs of supernatural activity.
So he's found a job at a garage and tried to appear just as boring and ordinary as possible.
So far it's been a success.
Hell, Ben's even settled into his new school, and avoided beating the local assholes to a pulp for once.
For the first time ever, it looks like the higher fucking powers, in between plotting Armageddon 2.0, have finally decided to grant them some peace.
But he's not stupid and he knows that he has to get them out of here soon.
Because there's always calm before the storm, and usually that's the best time to run.
And if they don't get going now there won't be a tomorrow.
So what he's about to do, however distasteful it may be, is as his dad used to say "imperative".
Like father, like son huh?
Well, hopefully he'll do a little better than the old man.
And if he doesn't, he'll probably at least get to die putting that yellow-eyed fucker down.
Hopefully, for eternity this time, or more likely just long enough for his son to grow old enough to have to vanquish it again.
But that's the life of a Winchester for you- sacrifice, blood, and loss.
It's a proud tradition.
Or more accurately, it's a terrible curse.
All he can hope is that it ends with them.
Because if it doesn't, he thinks that this world's expiration date will be arriving very quickly.
And to be honest, judgment day scares the shit out of him.
"Mother forgive me"
