"Michelle, you need to get out of here now!" shouted a voice as they ran along the dark corridor. The voice was deep and dark. The person behind that voice was none other than her loyal companion, Aris. Behind that thick black hair, and those icy blue eyes, was goodness, but it never seemed to come out. Only around her could he show his true emotions.
As they ran, his black cloak flew in the breeze behind him. Wind ruffled his hair, and his heart was beating fast.
"I know! I'm working on it." A soft and gentle voice came form the shadows. Her long brown hair was also being messed with. The cloak that she had wrapped around her tightly, that covered up the black belly shirt and black jeans, was now flapping in the wind. The fangs that were in her mouth threatened to grow as blood thirst became stronger.
Aris, changed into his wolf form and caught up to her. He was behind her with a ruby red crystal held in his muzzle. He watched her try and fight the blood thirst, but he knew it was no use. Sooner or later it would come over her and she would need to feed.
Michelle, let go. Let it come over you. You need to feed. His mind engaged in hers and he spoke to her telepathically.
"No, I won't do it!" She yelled. They needed to get out of the castle and fast.
Guards chased them.
Bother Aris and Michelle were long time friends and thieves. They had been together since she was born.
When Michelle noticed them she curled her nose. Blood, she thought. Smirking some she then said out loud, "I'll kill them."
Aris heard and seen what she was going to do. He had to stop her and fast. Quickly, he picked her up, over his shoulder, and fled as fast as his long legs would carry him.
Guards were throwing daggers and such at them, but he dodged them and kept them both safe.
Aris finally got to the door. When he did he opened it frantically and ran toward the forest like some sort of cowardly wolf would flee from a fight. Once deep in the shrubbery, he sat her down and panted for his breath.
Being so weak, she fell to her knees. She was crying and screaming in pain trying to fight the blood thirst. It was no use, though. Pain was over coming her. She couldn't help it; she had to let the inner vampire come out of her. Once she did she stood up and sniffed the air. Changing into her wolf form she charged deeper into the forest. When she saw the deer, she pounced. Clawing it in the neck, she had deadly accuracy and killed it. Teeth sank into its neck and she sucked the blood out of it. After that was done she ran over to the river and started to drink the water. It washed the blood away from her furry lips. Standing up on two legs she changed back into human form. The vampire was now fed and it stayed the way. The only thing that burned was the necklace around her neck. The pendant hung in the middle of her breast.
Aris stood behind her at his full height. He meant to intimidate her to make her tell him why she did that, but she didn't.
"Tell me, Michelle, does it hurt?" He asked. His deep voice was echoing in the trees.
"What do you think?" She responded, taking the necklace off. It burned so much that once it touched her hand, she dropped it.
Aris saw the chain fall. Slyly, he stuck his hand out and caught it. It didn't burn or tarnish his skin. He simply put it in his pocket.
"Do you know why?" He asked dead serious. He wanted to intimidate her, but he didn't.
"Yeah, and you know what? Screw what the legend says. I don't need someone to watch over me! I can handle myself.
