Well, THIS is a most splendid night. I have just gotten back from seeing Alice In Wonderland the movie and have become quite obssesed with the Alice x Mad Hatter couple, for there were SO many cute moments between them that I simply had to write a story about them. While it is said in many places that Alice and the Mad Hatter are simply very close bonded friends, I believe otherwise, because they are simply cute together. The part in which the Mad Hatter has a "Mad Moment" within the castle made me think of this, when Alice was holding his face in her hands. If you dont like this couple, leave now because flames shall be eaten by the Chesire Cat.

The Mad Hatter sat at his desk, frevently working on the hats he must make for the Red Queen. He was glad to be back at doing what he was trained to do, but he did not like the way he had to do it. Thoughts clumsily ran through his head. He WAS mad after all, and could never seem to think straight nowadays. However, one thought made itself clear in his mind--He was thinking more and more of Alice, The Mad Hatter had never quite thought of falling in love, but this.....he wasnt sure. Alice seemed...perfect to him. Yes. Perfect. That was how he thought of her.

Footsteps jolted him out of his thoughts and he glanced up, his bright, bright green eyes seeing the very girl he had been thinking of; Alice. He looked back down to his hats as Alice came over "It's good to see you back at what you do best" she remarked simply. The Mad Hatter alowed himself to smile slightly as he looked up "I'm glad to be back at doing what I do best" he replied softly. "Still...it's a pity you have to make them for her" Alice put emphasis on the last word, disgust tinging her voice.

The Mad Hatter's eyes widened and he froze for a moment before his bright eyes narrowed and he yanked himself away from the hats, yelling out and furiously thrashing, knocking over stands and whatnot "I hate it here, I cant stand it, oh its terribly crowded in here" he said, his words hardly understandable. Alice turned him around and put his face in her hands "Hatter!" she yelled. He snapped out of it instantly, his gaze locking with hers "Alice..." he whispered "Have I gone mad?"

She put a hand to his forehead like her father used to do and said the exact same words her father would always tell her "I'm afraid you've gone totally bonkers" she murmured "But, I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are" she ended with a grin. He smiled, looking into her eyes for what seemed like forever. Without even realising he had said it, he said "I love you, Alice".

Alice was silent for a moment, then she grinned again "I love you too, you silly old bat". Alice was taller than him at the moment, for she had eaten the cake given to her by the Rabbit, but that didnt stop the Mad Hatter from reaching up and kissing the girl that raided his insane thoughts day and night.

The kiss ended all too soon as Alice heard the yells of the Knave of Hearts. She grabbed the Vorpal Sword and backed away as the Knave of Hearts and his men kicked in the door. "Run!" the Mad Hatter whispered and, despite Alice's protests, Alice ran.

As she came to the outskirts of the castle, Alice faintly touched her lips "Maybe I'm not dreaming" she whispered to herself. With that, she ran on.

Okay, so the scene has slightly slipped my mind so if you've seen the movie and you're like "That's not how it goes!" then blame me for being tired at 11:54 PM and being half-asleep.

Peace out.
