Hi all, I do not own Adventure Time or any of the characters referenced in this story! They are all property of Pen Ward and Cartoon Network! Also, as you may have noticed I abandoned this story for a long time. Almost two years I think but I am back now. I took down the first chapter and edited it so I hope you enjoy the improved version. I may or may not do so with the second chapter as well. I cannot confirm when a 3rd chapter will be posted but I don't think it will be too long. Thank you all for your support and I hope you enjoy the improved version of the story.

Bubba was perfect.

In the eyes of all the teachers he was a saint. His grades were some of the highest in the entire school, and he had a respectable place on the school committee. Bubba's parents loved him, supported his wishes, and fueled his dreams. Marshall felt that bubba had too much luxury. His home was steady and safe, he drove a nice car and everyone could see that bubba was destined to go to college. Bubba was going to become somebody important. He was a valuable member of society, a dedicated student who had been late to class less than you could count on one hand. Bubba was a perfect star, a gem, he was a beacon of hope, everyone was betting on him to do well. He was reserved but was generally kind; the type of kid to have enough friends that he was comfortable but not overstretched with obligations and conversations. His time management was impeccable; he had a true sense of balance in his life. The jocks never bothered him even though they all knew bubba couldn't play sports to save his life or because of his pink hair. The girls in the hall continued to swoon and fuss over his perfect smile and kind nature ignoring the fact that he never seemed interested in any of them.

He was tall and handsome, with strong posture and light eyes. His presence was a soothing one; he exuded reliability making him anyone's first choice to ask questions or approach. He was helpful, his lips always curled into a small smile no matter how tedious the request or question. Bubba was put together, genuinely happy and seemed to only attract the best kind of attention. He never hated, never held his abilities above other's heads, he was thankful for what he had and helped those who were less fortunate. He was well rounded, too nice to bother, that is to everyone except Marshall Lee. It seemed that Marshall's main objective was to make it known how much he hated bubba.

They were opposites. While Marshall was in the office for misconduct Bubba was there walking a student to a nurse. The teacher called on Marshall because they knew he wasn't paying attention and called on bubba because they knew he was. Marshall picked all the wrong girls, all the wrong friends and no matter how smart he was he couldn't seem to find his way out. He was given a bad reputation after some guys lied about selling him drugs and some girl tried to say her baby was his. They were easy lies for people to believe, Marshall was from the wrong side of town after all. Outside of school he was a druggy, a heart breaker. Inside of school he was a lost cause, a troublemaker, a failure. He was a fuck up and bubba was the perfect. Marshall's so called friends gave up on bullying bubba because he always told later and simply ignored the bullying while it was happening. No matter what they did it never seemed to bother the pink haired boy. Not to mention he was hardly ever alone long enough for any real damage to be inflicted. Marshall didn't care about that. He wanted to make bubba suffer.

Gym class was next on Bubba's schedule, and the sound of him laughing as he entered the doors with another boy everyone calls FP disrupted the stilling silence of the locker room. Bubba's merrily laughing erupts a wave of conversation in the room and Bubba always the gentleman tries to casually avoid Marshall as he enters the locker row that they, unfortunately for bubba, share. It isn't long before Bubba is down to his boxer briefs reaching into his locker for his gym shorts, and that's when Marshall's plan for humiliation becomes evident.

"What the fuck is this ugly girl doing in my locker row" Marshall's face twists in mock horror, a few heads turn in their direction. Bubba's cheeks tint pink at the insult, it's a new one.

"You could at least be pretty if you're going to come in here. At least have some boobs…oh wait" Bubba tugs his shorts on quickly finally unfrozen from the initial shock of Marshall's humiliation tactic of the day. He reaches for his shirt, he wants to say something back, and wants to chide Marshall because while he is not transgendered it doesn't mean Marshall can use that population as an insult. He knows that will only fuel the fire however so he stays silent, tugging his shirt on in haste.

"You're not a girl my bad you're just a faggot" Now Bubba's hands are balled into fists, this is humiliating. He locks his locker and turns to leave.

"No wonder you won't date any girls, you're a faggot. It's not like you could please them anyways, ya know I bet you couldn't please a girl if she was already having an orgasm." Marshall spits, a few boys chuckle. Bubba wants to say something back, to point out that if she is having an orgasm she is already pleased but he doesn't the small amount of laughter makes every retaliation stay locked in his throat.

He walks foreword trying to leave, only to be promptly blocked by Marshall Lee. Bubba swallows harshly finally finding his voice and willing it to stay steady and calm. "Pardon me Marshall Lee I would like to get to class on time" He exhales slowly congratulating himself on the small victory of being able to speak.

"Awwwwww Virgin Mary is upset; do you need me to explain what an orgasm is? Poor virgin Mary" Bubba wants to lash out to snap at how stupid Marshall must be. To point out that his grades and extensive knowledge of science would ensure he knows full well what an orgasm is.

He doesn't say anything of the sort, settling for a simpler "there is nothing wrong with waiting for the right person Marshall Lee" Bubba is stern now and Marshall is momentarily speechless, it's not fair that my name sounds better coming from him than anyone else is the first thought to cross Marshall's mind, he shakes it off quickly.

"Fine, whatever you frilly little cupcake, I'll let you off this time cause if I'm late to this dumbass class one more time I get detention again" Marshall doesn't care about detention he never has but having bubba so close is making his head dizzy and he needed an excuse. If bubba saw through his lie he doesn't comment just a polite "Thank you Marshall Lee" and he is gone heading out to the gym and so is the small crowd of students that had gathered, none of them even giving Marshall a second glance. His moment of stardom is over now it left when bubba walked away.
